nice driving shoes! On a serious note, what transmission are you using? and good job flogging it a bit in the rain with no windshield, my kinda folks. I can't wait to have the space for a bug swap project, just don't know if I want to go rotary or ej22 subaru... Subaru motors just don't scream like a rotary does...
I did the same thing, I drove it to the paint booth, Shot the the bug with blue paint waited 3hrs then drove it back in the rain, those rain drop hurt like hell, my face turned red, but anyway the rotary sound really good I hope you post a finished vid of the bug.
