But on the other hand, one could argue that having a high society, as theETOkid1 shows, would be a great way to keep them docile like the Egyptians did with beer. I think it used to be fear of people's reactions to the stuff, but these days it's more an antiquated fear of things that we've been told are wrong. We're far too scared for our own good. I don't see any reason why pot should be illegal and yet tobacco and booze are legal, it makes no sense.

Because it is impossible to ban alcohol, when it can be brewed out of any plant matter. Pot is a terrible drug, too and should be banned but at least a little more controlable. You have to have cannibis seeds and nothing but. I am ashamed that Canada is too relaxed on pot. The Americans are right! Throw the dealors into a pit!

I disagree with Christianity and organized religion in general, and the very thought of it offends me greatly, but I recognize that people should be allowed to do what makes them happy as long as it DOESN'T HARM OTHERS. it's so funny when you look at the ads from those times -if the government needed the hemp in times of war - then the ads would change to cannsbis friendly stuff. and when the war was over and dupont want to make money with their invention of synthetic fiber made from fossil oil again - then cannabis would turn black people into crazy rapists.

and when the cold war began there where some ads that told of the dangers of smoking sh*t because it would turn soldiers into pacifists... lol

oh, they're not paranoid. they just want what gives them the most money. that's why hemp was eradicated. it's really as easy as that. hemp threatened the market. there was other stuff to be made money from. and those people were in the congress. in the olden days no one cared if farmers occasionally smoked their harvest ;)

Yeah this is a great film. Unfortunately, during my first attempt at watching it I was so high on opium I fell asleep in the first ten minutes and was kicked out by the staff for snoring too loudly. My second try was successful, however, and I really liked it!

but my impression of him when I first saw his face was completely different my impression of him when I first saw him on TV so much so I did not relate Craig to his character in the movie. At all. Till today I realize it's him. When his face first shows on the screen he reminds me of the tough urban guys in their 20s and 30s. No wonder he says: This is TVs Craig Ferguson :)
