I think it's great they're spending so much time and aren't doing what everyone else does by releasing the game a year or less after it's been announced, people playing it for 2 weeks then buying a new game. It's going to be amazing, I play WoW and GW actively and tbh i'm gonna have to choose ;p

there are only 4 cprofessions available during the gamescon demo. the 4th we now know is the necromancer.

@Vietnuhm yep, the first chapter of the gw2 novel also revealed the sylvari to be a necromancer

@boblordofdarkness about the same as in GW1, maybe some very small changes, but overall, should be similar

@boblordofdarkness Just to let you know, there's that vid on the side that says "Guild Wars 2 - Making a Character" in which 4 icons representing classes clearly shown old fav classes making comebacks. But the other 4 were darkened, couldn't tell what the last 4 classes are.

The 4 known professions are Ele, Necro, War and Ranger. They said there would be 3 scholar classes, 3 adventure classes and 2 combat classes. Ele and Necro both are scholar, so I guess the third one will be Monk/Healer. Ranger is an adventure class, but I think the other two adventure classes will be new ones. Warrior is one of the 2 combat classes, the other one could be Dervish or Assasin, but I think they will go for a new class here aswell

@Gruntlify I'm pretty sure they mentioned somewhere that they're not going to have a healer class, as all professions would have their own heal that's far more effective than a heal from another person. I think they said they will have a class that will work for support of some sort like a monk but not exactly direct healing.

Ah ok, Im not really up to date about Guild Wars. But this will be interesting to see (each class having their own healing skills).

And yeah, there probably will be some sort of monk but who would be more about smiting skills, holy spells, enchantments etc.

it looks to me like this is some sort of necromancer... Epic back to the gold old days of diablo 2 LOD only then in a new age... can't wait to see some vids of the gameplay that Anet will bring out... Also don't understand why they don't do that...

This game looks and is i think already epic. why not frap some and put it out for all peeps that can't be there at gamescom
