Yeah, I saw "Cadena de Amor" I think in 1971. If I'm not mistaken Hilda Koronel was in the movie who played half-paralyzed on a wheelchair and Dante Rivero. I remember Rosemarie's rape scene which was shown in slow motion.
I do remember this pretty star AURORA SALVE of Sampaguita Pictures during her early years in showbusiness.
She was the look-alike of the late Charito Solis. The young version of Charito I supposed! That time, the big gossip that Aurora was the daughter of Charito was up in the air.
Wow! If my memory serves me right, the last movie I saw Aurora as a lead star is FIESTA EXTRAVAGANZA '71 with Tirso Cruz III, Novo Bono, Jr., Marifi, Ike Lozada & German Moreno.
Nora was said to be insecure to a new star being built up by Sampaguita, so she made ober da bakod to Tower Productions. Insecure daw siya kay Cherry Valdez, who will be later known as Aurora Salve. She was in the movies "Ding Dong" and "My Heart Belongs To Daddy".
Oh yes, the movie was "Young at Heart" and not "Winter Holiday" where the billing issue between Rosemarie and Nora came out. Being senior than Nora, I think Rosemarie deserved top billing over Nora. Rosemarie was also a big star during the late 60's. She and Gina Pareno could have become the new movie queens had not Nora and Vilma came out.
I saw many Sampaguita Pictures movies of Rosemarie on TV. I like Rosemarie especially when she portrayed tomboy roles for I find it convincing. In Cadena De Amor directed by the late Lino Brocka, Rosemarie gave her best performance as a rape victim. It earned her the validation that she could act.
Gina Pareño is obviously a good actress especially in the latter part of her career. I saw Giña in person during Toronto Film Festival for the premiere showing of her movie KUBRADOR.
What do Amalia and Nora have in common? (aside from being superstars, movie queens and Famas Awardees) According to Marichu Perez Maceda, they were both "pasaway" during their Sampaguita days.
It was good that Vilma Santos signed an exclusive contract for Tagalog Ilang-Ilang Productions (TIIP) and not for Sampaguita & VP Pictures. Otherwise, Vilma would remain only Second Fiddle to Nora Aunor. Obviously, Nora was the Favorite Star of Sampaguita/VP Pictures during the years 1970-72.

So he began swimming on the ground. And I think that's how he woke up in his dream. Funny confrontation scene with Vilma. I wish somebody could upload the dream sequence scene.

Both Amalia and Nora had Issues with Sampaguita Studios. That Time Nora is torn between Tower Productions and Sampaguita Pictures.
Though Nora did small roles under Sampaguita But it was Artemio Marquez of Tower who gambled to make Nora a Lead Star.
