  • Very happy to see that alot of people can appreciate my grandfather's music. Thank You!!!!!!

  • We call all sorts of Blues legends the "father of blues". But lets be straight, the real fathers of blues were the men slaving on the plantations, singing as they worked. we can't forget about them. funny thing is that without them, we would not have any of the music we love (unless you're a classical fan),

  • @jemesouvienz as my teacher put it- "you have to learn the blues to understand todays music, becasue no matter what you listen to, at some point your style of music has done the dirty with the blues" :)

  • @jemesouvienz True, Blues in America began with slaves' work songs, but they brought a lot of those tunes from Africa. So, one could say the roots of Blues are in Africa, & those roots transplanted to the American south grew into an incredible garden of varied styles that together constitute much of what has become popular music worldwide today!

-e.g. The black Gnawa tribe of Morocco has been playing beautiful bluesy music on the

3-string,bass-guitar-like "guimbri" for hundreds of yrs.

  • @jemesouvienz very well said!holla!

  • @jemesouvienz preach!

  • This is the real father of the Blues... And not Robert Johnson, Son House, Muddy Waters or any other...
