i am a mechanic and i can tell yous that a start up like this without a air cleaner wont hurt anything. better than suckin stockings into your turbo @nza4220, nic ebuild love 2h, im rebuiding and turboing my 3b.

@shortybj40 I guess you never heard about people using stockings as air filters on race cars back in the day. Of course, only someone like you would assume that you just drape them on the intake and let them get sucked into the engine...

bad glow plugs, 2 were broken when that vid is taken, got other videos on my profile where it's in the condition what it's nowdays :) other turbo etc.. this vid is "so last season" =D

it was still the first start about a year ago, pumping gas at my own yard.. so you would not even start the car without filter if you would have been fixing and building your car for last 2 months ? Did you think i drove it without filter ?

well i won't say I have never started a car without a filter, but it's riskier with a turbo.. it's your engine do what you want! :)

@kathryn2348 you're right, i wouldn't drive a car that I owned equipped with a turbo without an air filter.... actually, if it was someone else's car, and they said to drive it, I would drive it then without a filter.
