These ants are the easiest to keep in my area. They are a type of honey pot ant. you'll see them with big butts hanging upside down in their chambers, they only need to come out and forage once or twice as year, in earily spring and late fall usually. They're able to swarm in earily spring because of their good food storage. When waring they make themselves look big to intimidate the other ants, they don't fight much.
Haha the next day i put honey in to different spots and the two colonies never excountered since! Thanks for the comment! I'm waiting for them to fly then i should make some more videos if possible!!

@gtariman03 Thats how they fight. Winter ants won't really kill eachother like other ant species. They more do war dance things than actual fighting.

@buzneg Yeah i have quite a few colonies. The trick is getting them to lay their second year.
