What is it about stand-up comedy that people get pissed off when they perform the same material quite often?
Why is this ONE medium being treated differently? You don't get it with anything else... not with music anyway.
If Snow Patrol went on Jonathan Ross and performed their new single, people wouldn't go, "Oh for fucks sake! I already heard this on their album! Will you play "Come on Eileen""? :P
I remember seeing his show at the fringe. Was hilarious, but the one I saw it was just his stand-up show, not quite sure why michael mcintyre is introducing him in this one - no video.
It's ripped from a radio 4 programme broadcast last year called '4 at the fringe' and that was hosted by Michael. (Similar to 4 Stands Up and how Chris Addison hosted the latest series)
A lot of the time comedians have to use old jokes to get to new ones - use the things that work when they work, there's no problem with that, surely. Like you say, it's still funny.
i think he got a better reaction to the joke he starts at 3:15, at Live at The Apollo

I agree with Dara O'Briain's number one rule of stand-up. Never talk about marriage- it alienates under 21's and bores over 50's.

I don't agree - I'm 15 and I find it just as funny as anything else

When the hell is Ed Byrne gonna write some new material? That dictionary joke is funny, but he's been using it for friggin' years now.
