@rc8rsracer Yes do your suspension next. You can build the biggest motor but without good suspension to get the power to the ground its useless. Check out walshracecraft they have the best suspension and go with axis, elka, or motowoz for shocks.

Unfortuanatlly the owners of the property the track is on got forclosed and new people moved in so as of right now I can't ride on that track anymore..but I plan on getting my own property and will put a track on that hopefully by next summer.

ugh.. i like my carb on my 400ex but the sucky fuckin thing about carbs is when you get an exhaust you have to re-jet your carb. its a pain in the ass. on fuel injections you just put the pipe on and go.

I was looking at the new Yfz 450R or the LTR 450 unless of course honda comes out with fuel injected quad by the time I get around to buying one.

get the suzuki the yfz may be faster in a sraight line but the suzuki will eat a yfz up on a track because of the stock with and suspention bein alot better..it is set up for racing stock.i like hondas best but suzuki will take a honda on a track to.

i test rode both and in my opinion the honda has a bit more pep and grunt off the lien but the yamaha will corner better because its better ballanced and has a more refined suspension. but they are both very close competition to each other

im not no expert but a trx 450r is reiliable, will go anywhere you point it, it also has a tiny bit more torque which means you could have a little more fun in the mud (in my case) but the bad thing bout trx 450r is no reverse.

if ur jumpin and racing and it feels tippy make it wider!!!! and i would gear it up and put a pro flow kit and pipe and go from there. if u want more power still piston and cams and so on and so forth but when ur doin motor work always ask ur tech if u have to run race gas, if the motor can handle it. cause i know a 400ex with port polish hi compression piston and big bore would always blow head and lift head without the heavy duty head studs

i ran wheel spacers for a while, they throw the ergonomics or the ratio of the shocks off a bit if you run front spacers. and in the back if you are a largers rider and dont land jumps perfect you run the risk of a bent axle, been there done that

The track is in a field in between 4 houses. I built the track myself with the help of my uncle who used a dozer to make the ski jump and double doubles. Everything else was made with a bobcat.
