Depends on what you mean "on land". If you mean the ground war, yes, the Thai army won several objectives and managed to regain some territory taken by the French in 1893 and as late as 1907. Everybody knew Japan would invade eventually, so the Thais moved in quickly to get what they could before it would happen. The Thais were able to keep these lands during Japanese presence in the region.

@Phillippines30.........honest­ly i dun think it costs as much as yours since it wasn't a huge aircraft carrier and it had been operated since 1996 or1997 so it was almost 13-14 years now.......so the cost of it at the time was probably lower compared to what it should be now.........the carrier itself was simply the smallest carrier compared to others around the world....however i think it's sufficient enougn in protecting our country and suitable for our military strategy (defensive style) thx
