  • nice! people surely know what they are doing!

  • wow they could have practically rebuilt the whole ship lol

  • The real ship would have been 128,000,000 DOLLARS!!! ...

    hmmmm... I wonder???

  • :O they shud have built the ship in real..this is just a skeleton :/ :(

  • Fuck im glad this video has no dislikes ...

    <3 the lovers

  • Lol and cool.

  • Asombroso jejej ojala existiese la replica flotante como museo

  • It's amazing what people can actually be arsed doing.

  • Hey, its not seaworthy!!! Tats why it sank

  • What ever happen to this amazing model. PS. James cameron could have put this on a ship and call it the titanic 2

  • These days we can EASILY rebuild the Titanic in about a year w/ our Tech.

  • Now put it in the water now and lets see magic lol

  • DAYUM.

    This is SOOO cool!

    (:

  • Really cool movie set, is it still there where it was made, or did they tear it down after the movie?

  • The set Titanic that Cameron built is 90% the size as compared to the real one.

  • Why diddnt they just make that the Real Titanic 2? just put a motor into it , and rooms , and your good! , oh and dont hit ice burgs...

  • how does cameron get such a big budget?

  • @jiyefuuu

Some of his films like Terminator 2 set the record for highest budget film made at that point, but they broke records for the box office.

They were a little uneasy about the budget for Titanic and panicked and got into fights with Jim, but he REALLY pushed hard to pull the film off like he wanted, it was one hell of a struggle for him, and......you know the rest.

  • Did they keep this set?

  • Without culture, life isn't worth living anyway. Movies, for better or worse, are part of culture. About the video... impressive timelapse. Thanks for sharing.

  • All that time and MONEY spent on a fucking movie set...Mean while back in the REAL world, children are homeless, families are getting kicked out of there homes.....Maybe James Cameron can donate some cash to a charity....

  • @oooshitman9 well u watched the movie didnt u?

  • I don't care what ships this world has today. Titanic will always be the most beautifulest ship in history! <3 R.I.P--- R.M.S Titanic

  • @sacramentolove How can a ship rest in peace?

  • @MrS0o0N It's resting on the Atlantic ocean floor in peace. Hello???

  • @sacramentolove It's not a human being. Use your brain for once please.

  • @MrS0o0N Actually, I use my brain every second of everyday sir. And if you don't actually have a heart to say Titanic was a ship of dreams that made 1,500 people perish, then you have no heart. For me, I actually care for those people, and I actually think the ship was beautiful. God bless that grave at the ocean floor, may the ship and people rest in peace.

  • @sacramentolove I have no heart? I do, may those who deserve to rest in peace, rest in peace. Not the ship itself. It's not a human being.

They might be some criminals and murderers were inside that ship, u want them rest in peace? No wonder why, you Christians can do whatever you want, Jesus has died for you anyways, lol... What a religion.

  • @MrS0o0N I'm catholic first of all. You're kinda criticizing christians. And I can tell you're not American, because American and English people call vehicles "she". Second of all, I love the Titanic! Must you be a dream smasher and say she doesn't exist? Because in my world she does exist, and I want it to be that way. If you don't like it, then leave me alone. Let me believe and think what I want and same for you so we'll all be happy. Thank you, peace and love. -Luke

  • Does it float

  • epic time lapse, i would love it if someone was to do this kind of thing with a huge skyscraper or something :)

  • 3:32 look out or you'll tip the damned thing over!

  • Estron2008@hotmeal.com

  • Very very interesting. Although the ship in the movie was only a tenth in size of the real one...imagine the size of the real deal Titanic must have been when it left Harland & Wolff in Belfast in 1911/12...

  • WOW!!!!! Well done!!

  • I hope James Cameron has visited Tokyo Disney Seas and boarded our SS Columbia. I think he could appreciated the level of detail including 11 different handrail types depending on class level aboard the ship. The boarding gantry is a Jewell not seen or used in the Titanic film..

  • If the film set is still there, I want to convert it into a real ship.

  • Reminds me of building Disney's SS Columbia Steamship at Tokyo Disney Seas. It is over 700 feet long and 3 million rivets. Largest non floating ship in the disney fleet.

  • Reminds me of building Disney's SS Columbia Steamship at Tokyo Disney Seas.

  • So why didn't they just rebuild the actual ship?

  • Those 500 workers deserve the Oscar.

  • this was all done in Rosarito Beach Mexico at the twentieth century fox stuidos. it was dismantled to make way for another movie.

South of the commercial center along Boulevard Benito Juarez, a new, widened four lane Boulevard Popotla is rapidly developing a reputation as a target area for hand-crafted "rustico" furniture, metal sculpture, and boutique art studios and galleries. Fox Studios, where scenes from the movie Titanic were filmed, is located here.

  • I thought it was all CGI with some studio sets added.

  • what did they do with that model?

  • They should have made it into a museum or something or blow it up with dynamite

  • lol 3:34-3:51 looks like so much fun!

  • @Blade025 it just look like having fun with a seesaw!!!

  • why didnt they just bulid the real ship?

i mean why go threw all of that and then get ride of it...

why not just make a real cruise ship model of the titanic?

  • @woahalexxx they was prolly on a butget so they had no ova choice but to do it half way u kno

  • whoa.. they spend too much for this project

  • wtf thats crazy.. and all that for a MOVIE. Well, it was worth it BIG TIME :o

  • yeah it was made in 234 mln dlr

  • why didnt they just rebuild the actual ship

  • @keyanage Because a real ship cost more than 400 millions $... this one maybe cost 2 or 3 million $ in Mexico.

Avatar cost 300 million $ and it's mainly made by computer so the fake ship is a few part of the budget.

  • This movie must of had an unlimited budget

  • Comment removed

  • @WhiteGangster400 The movie only had a 200 million dollar budget. Cameron said that he needed another 40 million to realise his true vision.

  • @WhiteGangster400 Its budget was $200 million. Its gross revenue was $1.8 billion

  • If the guys who worked on the ship had superpowers, they would done the ship in 4 minutes like in the video. LoL.

  • no it was half of a lifesize model, when they wanted to film things on the starboard side they simply wore reverse clothes and when it was played back it would appear normal as if it were a full ship.

  • This is beautifully insane. I wonder what they did with the Titanic movie ship?

  • @soccergoalkeeper1 - they broke up the metal, and sold it off for charity...

  • @Creanda Oh okay. Thanks!!

  • What happens to this ship after the movie? Hard to believe it would fit in a movie museum or something.

  • @Leto85 They took it all apart and sold it as scrap metal. If you read the Wiki page on the Titanic movie it lets you know everything. And it's the ACTUAL size of the titanic too.

  • It's a 9/10 scale model, with 72,9% of volume (90%³).

  • was this a real ship or just a fake prop?

  • @eminemineminem Why would you build a real ship for a motion picture? This served as a soundstage and with the proper CGI effects combined became "Titanic." It was am amazing feat.

  • is that the real 1??

  • @haamizk I certainly hope it wasn't the real Titanic, it sunk almost 100 years ago.

  • @DFFragenstein yea i was wondering the same thing? it cold pass 4 a ship

  • @haamizk i can't believe anyone would even ask that...And here i was..thinking all of humanity that can afford to have a computer with internet at least knew of the Titanic story...

  • Safety Violation!! 2:20

Either way, James Cameron and the whole crew should be proud of their erection!

  • now we know why it cost so much to make. imagine what they could do with all the money they spent doing this

  • wtf, i thought the movie was shot with a tiny model, damn

  • @Chaodragon07 It was filmed in Baja Mexico at the studio there. If you ever get a chance to go. Alot of the resturants have movie props from the film. St Rita was the best to see stuff if your a Titanic Buff like myself!... ENJOY

  • @Chaodragon07 IT WAS!! it had a tiny model and it had the biggg model

  • @Chaodragon07 Your thinking of Leonardo.

  • @Chaodragon07 they also used a tiny model for some scenes

  • @Chaodragon07 I also thought like this for more than a decade..... but now after watching this video...... I'm extravagantly surprised...... uff..... :D

  • @Chaodragon07 it is but its a damn big model

  • @Chaodragon07 some of it was teh far away shots ot it were

  • 680 people missed the like button

  • what is the song?!

  • I can only wonder what one of the original Titanic's builders would be thinking if he lived to see this because this is amazing. Look at how they did the poop deck!

  • its like them building the real ship all over again

  • that's very very impressive!

  • Awesome timelapse! Very interesting.
