Hi Tony,

I just happened to stumble on your videos. This is what I've been looking for. I am going to buy an open back 5 string banjo for the very first time. I have never played a banjo before but do play a little guitar using cords only. Also can you recommend to me a not to expensive open back 5 string to purchase. I would appreciate you advise and once I get my banjo I will come back to your videos. Also do you have any CD's?

Hi Tony, Great banjo lessons. I noticed on your impressive web site that you also play the MANDOLIN. Can you do one Utube on tremolo method of playing notes only? So much better than strumming on the mandolin. I have my Grandfather's old bow mandolin and know the scale. Am trying to find notes to Santa Lucia which reminds of music played in the movie, Dr. Zhivargo.  Loved your music on the banjo of TN Waltz and I'll Fly Away. I played on my BD and was a hit!
