From what i know, this song has sung by three young girls: Charice, JoJo and Bianca Ryan. It looks like Diane Warren( the songwriter) felt that Charice sung the song with heart and soul, and David Foster wanted her to have the song therefore she got it as her single. Go watch the episode on Oprah.

To be honest three girls are all good singers but Charice is more suited to the song considering her past and the tone of her voice.

Bianca sang it for a TBN show, that's it. It's both Charice and Jojo's song since they BOTH actually RECORDED it. Doesn't matter who recorded it first, it's Diane Warren's song to sell. If Diane sells it to Lady GaGa, then it will be her song AS WELL.
