yes its more fun in the philippines and also only in the philippines have a "toilet fee"on most public toilet like in the mall, bus terminal, park and even goverment offices must pay 5 pesos, i hope that our congress will do action on this embarrassing policy.
@James53414 A good old friend of mine passed away a few years ago and I found this in his music files when I was cleaning out his computer before it was given away. Walang labels yung files puro Track 1 Track 2 Track 3 lang. I think he ripped them from his CD collection.
a group of belgian and french tourist was become a victim of salisi gang, and the worse is they make a documentary about this country.....what a shame IT's more fun in the philippines when your belonging is snatch wew!
@grvc44 - snatching is not unique to any country incl. Philippines..you'll have the same experience if your living in SF, Detroit or Brooklin. Last December, a friend of mine on business travel in Brussels lost her bag (passport, money etc) inside the train.
@methusaelcebrian I totally agree! My Brother lost his bag inside a department store in Hongkong once. Anywhere in the world you can get robbed it doesn't just happen in the Philippines. Just stay alert and be careful.
@grvc44 that's sad but come on.. it's not like this is the ONLY country where you'd ever get robbed. It's a common crime that happens all over the world. Be aware of your surroundings, take care of your belongings and stay alert.
i am very very proud that i am a full blooded filipino,.,i miss you my homeland,.,PILIPINO AKO AT PILIPINAS ANG AKING INANG BAYAN AT HINDI KO IKAKAHIYA IYON,.,
@belzeubub Four negative things and nothing positive. 4 things that usually occur in the big cities and are plastered all over the news. Yes it's more fun in the Philippines. My family and I went back 2010. Everything was good. Manila and Cebu. But when we went to Bacolod? That's a big question. I was so upset!! It ruined the rest of our holiday. I don't know who's fault it was, wether the travel agency, Philippine Airlines or ourself. Leaving from Bacolod we are asked to pay P20,000.00 for extra baggage!!! @rowvillaruz Baggage allowance is a huge issue in domestic travel for those taking connecting flights to international destinations. If your flight was PAL Bacolod-Manila-Australia and it was booked completely as that then PAL should have given you the Int'l baggage allowance but if it wasn't then the travel agency should have informed you of the discrepancy but as a rule of thumb I think it would be best to know all the little details before purchasing airline tickets so you don't get charged.
@paudelange well we're told by our travel agency that they talked to PAL we're allowed to bring 23kg in national because that was part of the deal and we believed in it because we didn't have any hassle or whatever from Melb-Mnl. Kaso bakit yun video et photo collage... Wala bang man lang budget to make a 3 minute video footage.. The beaches, the malls, the historic areas and tourism areas are more fun to see with a live video...:(
@msvida2003 Well, there probably is a budget for the video from the Department of Tourism but this video that I made is just a compilation of the different posts that people (regular Filipino citizens, like me) made to #helpDOT with their campaign. That's why if you notice each photo has a photo credit to the original post. The It's More Fun in the Philippines campaign has not been fully launched by DOT so let's just wait for what they have in store for us.
thanks for putting this video together. it never ceases to amaze me how awesome our country is. kahit sa kalokohan, patok ang pinoy. bilib ako sa irreverence and linguistic abilities ng mga pinoy (multiple meanings). also, the way you put all these self-made ads and the music you selected was well done. proud to say this is my philippines
who is the audience for this? as a filipina, makes me sentimental and pine for home, but doesn't seem to carry as much appeal for foreigners. some of the images are spot on, but there should be more selectivity. we should feature things that are actually unique or superior in the philippines. ziplining is all over the world. surfing is better in other parts of the world. shouldn't we focus on things that are actually MORE FUN universally, and not just because they are familiar to us?
@10017nyc The 'More Fun in the Philippines' bit is the slogan to uniform all posts, in my opinion it's saying yes, you have it everywhere else but it's more fun to do it in the Philippines. I made this video while spending time with a Fil-Am cousin who couldn't stop talking about how much fun he was having and it was spot on coz the campaign just came out. The things I put on here are things that would appeal to people like him and my friends as well..simple as that.
@10017nyc With all due respect, I think that if you have a way to do what I did better, you should go walk the talk. I did what I knew would work.. why don't you go do yours too and help bring in that foreign market? BAYANIHAN style :D
@paudelange - Please don't be defensive. I'm not criticizing your work. It's a great video. Plus which I get that it's a compilation of various people's ideas. All I'm saying is there are so many things that are in fact SUPERIOR in the Philippines so the campaign should be focusing on those. If I were a foreigner, I wouldn't buy it. As you said, it was your cousin, meaning another Filipino, who was having fun in the Philippines. Hence the question of the target audience.
@10017nyc So I guess my target market for this video were the Fil-Ams, Fil-foreigners that are living overseas. It's just a home video dude, relax a bit. Enjoy it for what it is.. Let DOT worry about the foreign market... or if you wanna bring them in, do something too. I'm just saying if we all pitched in and made what we think will bring tourism in then we should all do it. I'm not being defensive, I'm just saying it as I see it.
@paudelange Actually you are being defensive, but that's neither here nor there. I thought I was bringing up a legitimate point because by and large, all the images I've seen, NOT JUST YOURS, seem to be insider stuff that only Pinoys will get. Indeed, a comment best directed to the DOT. but nevertheless shouldn't be overlooked. Once again, love the video. Well done. Just asking a question. You've replied.
it's very filipino and unique in cultures like no others. nice job Pauline, what a way to promote our country!!!! i got teary eye... the planking and change of address are both epic......BRAVO!!!
@jdscamwatch1 lahat ng nilagay ko, ipinagmamalaki ko sa buong mundo and if it's something that doesn't seem too nice it's there for those with a sense of humor :)
@paudelange sige isa-isahin natin. (1)CARPOOLING - anung masaya don? delikadao nga yun eh. (2) STREET FIGHTS - anu ba yon sports or rambulan sa kanto? masaya ba yon? it just promotes violence (3) STREET FOODS - eh dyan ka nga makakakuha ng Hepatitis A eh. (4) JAILTIME - well linisin muna nila yung mga kulungan naten para walang bad impression (5) K9 UNIT - using a chiuaua? are you kidding me? eh di nawalan ng confidence ang foreigner sa klase ng seguridad sa bansa?
Such a beautiful video filled with wonderful photos. Really resonates in the heart. Ang galing nating mga Pinoy! By the way, the music used was "Ader" by Grace Nono, from the album "Isang Buhay" :)
This is my country. So proud of it! I speak 3 dialects & I am proud of how unique it sounds. Food in here will never be the same if you wont eat with your hands (mag kamay/kinamot), it adds flavor to the food :D

Our flight coming back to Australia was suppose to be 23kg because it was international and our baggage was cut to 15 kg!!!

Food in here will never be the same if you wont eat with your hands (mag kamay/kinamot), it adds flavor to the food :D
kennyben101 1 month ago
@kennyben101 Let me guess, you speak Bisaya, Tagalog and one more... Magkinamot. More fun in the Philippines! yes, it adds salt hihihihihi
