@SuStukkZero just wait until you get into a battle with them with the right numbers and proper strategy they will crush almost anything. I have been playing with them for 2 years now and lose under 5% of the time

Way does GW not add to the armylist dismounted knights or armored infantry or something on those lines, this is just a idea.

@zodiach I mean if you want to be puritanical, thats fine. Its meant only as if to reminisce or to give people a better picture by utilising similies and familiar existing images to define this new concept

A block of 40 men-at-arms? Doesn't that take the agility out of the Bretonnian strengths? For 118 points a grail Releguie will do the same thing for half the points. It will have a quarter of the wounds but will have a ward, stubborn, and a higher save (As you now cannot use handweapon/shield with men-at-arms in new rules).

Two units of 20 bowmen? 40 men-at-arms? Just take Empire or Dwarves.

Grail Knights Effective in a unit of 6, add Razor Banner for AP, thats S6 on charge (-4 Armour save).

I know it's probably not practical in any way, but could one make a knight horde with a 6-wide frontage and still get the bonuses of the lance formation?

@GamerMadnessFromHell Maximine unit size for Realm knights is 15, you would not get the horse attacks from the back line, and you would only have 1 rank, 2 with 3 heros in the unit. Not practical.

Wonderful video, simply wonderful! Short but informative descriptions and strategies, and the beautiful music in the background really absorbed me into the land of Bretonnia. Bretonnians are my favourite army so that's even more of a plus!

I've had Bretonnians for a little over a year and have not yet played a game with them, so I've never been sure about how the new rules would work with them, but you've clarified that for me. Once again, VERY well done! A+

I just got tired of others challenging my BSB cuz he isn't geared for challenges as much as someone that can take a magic lance and good virtue plus if i give my grail knights full command in a 9 block (3X3 lance formation) i have 4 combat rez before the charge (BSB, banner, and two ranks) then i get 9 str. 6 attacks plus my BSB 3 str. 4 attacks , then 7 horse attacks :) thats 19 attacks :) not to mention i get 2+ armor saves and 6+ ward saves

good video tho i love my grail knights, i hide my BSB in them so he can't be challenged, cuz all grail knights are champions ;) I forgot to mention a game where my Fey Enchantress was able to cast skin to stone on my Men at Arms plus she had Throne of Vines on her so the Men At Arms were toughness 7. My opponent was livid about 5 point Men at Arms with ward saves, stubborn AND 7 toughness, the prophetess had prayer icon and crown of command in the unit, I left the halberds on them for str. 4 :)

if you take the Fey Enchantress ALL knights start (no kneeling) with the blessing of the Lady, +5 ward save no matter the str of attack. If you dont have her then its just a 5+ save against str. 5 or higher. You can also put a damsel in a unit of Men at arms, (i run a 50 block) and give her Prayer icon to give the WHOLE unit ward saves.. and Battle Pilgrims have ward saves too plus they are stubborn and have hatred (i run a 30 block of them too.)

Where do you get this army-wide Ward save and Magic Resistance bonus thing from? There were almost no real rule changes in the FAQ from what I've seen. Could you paste some of the text you're referring to please?

Hmm, I think for fluff sake its awesome RE: the general on peggie. I guess it can be practical to hunt warmachines and such but then you lose your ld boost sooo I guess I would use him as a troubleshooter, support unit on the field ;)

Lance formation in the new ed... Everyone in the front rank, and all the side models get their attacks and the 2nd rank center guy gets to make a supporting attack. 3rd rank center guy cannot attack at all. Im taking a damsel just for lore of life now! Im worried about movement cus i can always roll a double one. Grail knights are beasty in the new ed. Lance formation, 2 attacks each, ~FC, more than likely charging, chuck a character in their KAPOW! But after all that i would prefer a

a trebuchet. Just under 100 points you can fit many in the new ed. every unit in my army has a hero in them sept for my knights errant, who have the errantry banner and will just go hunting. Yet i agree. Brets are lower down the teir of the army list but i got to say that im doing this army to have a beautiful looking army at the end of it. and yes their will be a convertion or two...I love the green knight model but i want a diffrent darker take on him!! thanks for the vid man!! EPIC!

Yeah lance formation is br00tal haha. Also, remember cav get to roll 3 dice and pick the 2 highest ;) so don't worry TOO much about rolling double 1's

LOL i thought of doing a monty python style bret army with all of my knights on horse headed sticks! im going to stick with a more traditional army. Id say drop the character from pesant blocks, Just keep them near your knights foor higher LD! And pesant bowmen are great however their BS is horriable. Helped by flaming arrows and stakes is awesome tho! dont forget you can make them skirmisher too. Not for everyone but i think if done fright you could be a paint with warmachines!

@Number1GamerAsh I suggest the hero so that the unit is using a higher ld for steadfast - ensuring the unit stays where you want it.

I know peasant bowmen BS is horrible, but when you're rolling 40 dice - your gunna roll ALOT of 6's ;) It also forces your opponent to deal with it and diverts their attention from your heavy cav ;)

The trebuchets are AMAZING! The research I did for them showed me they are easily one of the best in game atm - so stock up! :D
