who taught the "natural childbirth" classes and she always said "Stay home as long as you can cause once you get to that hosp.. They will try yo IV you and tie you down to a bed which make contractions harder. Honestly The pushing part was nothing.. the contractions were worse! If you can get threw the contractions, don't chicken out last minute.. cause that's the easier, less painfull most memeriable part!

For the most part - I ignore rude comments. But since you left about three of them, I must clear this up for you. I am not a baby myself. I am twenty-two years old, a college graduate, a professional, and an excellent mother to my now seven month old daughter. My marital status should not matter because I am not the first woman to give birth to a child out of wedlock and I will not be the last. Aiva (my daughter) is well taken care of and has two loving parents.

One good thing I have to say is I'm glad your'e "trying" natural birth. I hope you breast feed her. There is no better gift! Sorry I made harsh comments before... I can honestly say that the bathtub helped me so much with labor pains.. and once you go to the hospital, they're gonna try to push drugs on you. You need to stay strong with your partner encouraging you. Make sure you eat cause they starve you in the hospital. I had a midwife

CamiJo...I've been watching you since 16 weeks! and wow how you have transformed, but you stay amazingly beautiful..They say girls steal your beauty..lol..I just wanted to say that, I did a totally natural childbirth 8 years ago with my son...and I don't know what I was trying to prove! The pain was horrid for me! This timr around (I'm 30wks with a babygirl) I am asking for all the pain relief I can have... GOood luck, and I'll stay tuned...

my first baby they laughed when i said i wanted to go natural, i wasnt progressing in labor so they told me i had to get an epidural, so i did and by the time i needed to push it wore off. so honestly it really helps to relax and receive help early on but u want the baby out so bad you can push through the pain like nothing... I.V pain relief really helps :)

I have to say your comments about your "experience" are alittle bit insensitive. Any REAL woman is one whom goes through a 9 month pregnancy and (somewhat) painful delivery...no matter if they chose to be aided with medication or not. You should get your head out of the clouds.

P.S. - Everyone has their own individual pain tolerance, hence why some are perfectly fine without pain relievers, and others suffer from sky rocketing blood pressure or possible heart failure and must.

Girl u are getting HUGE! I don't think u can get any bigger, and the last few weeks is when u really get big. It will b exciting to see just how big u get. I hope I do not get any bigger!! I can barely get out of bed now! LoL!! One of my sorority sisters gave it to me as a shower gift - I love it too!! I can ask her where she purchased it. There are slots where you can put photos in at every growth mark - I received a pink bedding set at my shower so at about 39 weeks (if I make it that far) I'm going to put it in her crib. Then everything will be pink and purple :)

I was GBS+ & at the time hadn't a clue what it was, it freaked me out until I educated my self on it then it was fine, and if u are + that doesn't mean u'll ALWAYS b +... U can be - during the next pregnancy even if u were + the first time, or vice versa.

Yea, the doctor told me not to freak out about it. She said a lot of women has it but it doesn't really cause harm. They will just give me some antibiotics if I am + with that. So I went online and tried to find info on it. I'm cool. I guess if it was really harmful they would have told me about it earlier or warn pregnant women ahead of time?? I've heard of it before but this is the first time they mentioned it at my appt.

I just got my Group B strep done as well. Did you have to do yours by yourself? My original doctor is on vacation so the nurse gave me the swab to do it myself. Holy crap it was hard with this huge belly in the way...couldn't see what the heck I was doing!! LOL

I weigh 2 more pounds than you right now..my hands and feet have swollen up too. I can only wear one pair of my sneakers now...ugh. Does your hands hurt when you wake up? Only 4 more weeks or less though for us now! WOO HOO!!

No, the doctor did mine for me and then after she checked for dialation. Not dialated but hopefully tomorrow I will be!! My feet are huge - I cannot wear any of my shoes! Glad it's summer b/c I can only fit flip-flops. My hands do not hurt but they are bigger as well. I have to struggle to get my ring off of my finger!

Do you own a tens machine? or u could hire one as I found it good with my first labour. I had no other pain relief so it must of helped. U have 2 get one made for labour thought as it has a boost button luv Jen (33 weeks pregnant)

I to am doing the birth 100% natural. This is my 3rd and I know what I am getting into. Wish i had done my other two natural. The second one I didn't have as much meds as the first and I loved having the feeling of control and knowing/feeling what was going on with my body. This time around I may hide at home through most of my labor till I feel the need to go in. I am so proud of your dicission. Good Luck!
