You make natural musical choices and have naturally such a great instrument you really do owe it to opera fans to take a stab at a professional career.
I'd rather hear you over any number of "great" tenors singing at the MET these days.
though you need improvement, I thought it was beautiful, and you have the ability to be great! Has anyone ever told you that you look a bit like Steven King? hehe
you have a great voice! your technique isn't bad either, except you need to relax, everyting is just too tense and rigid. your rythm needs some losening up as well. don't just sing the notes on your paper. it's a really short aria and not difficult to learn by heart at all, so get rid of the book and sing from the inside instead of from the sheetmusic.
i see it's been a while ago so maybe you've made some progression already?
don't lose the reverb, just push up the piano volume. it's too soft.
reading this stuff that i wrote some time ago, it sounds pretty know-it-all to me now. sorry for that. i was trying to help, because you can do so much better, as we can hear in your old recordings. i never meant to be pedantic. sorry again.
beautifull voice and great tecnike, I'm studing now and Im a tenor also Spinto can you give a advise, what i should to do to sing well like you? see, im from brazil and Im bussinesman, WHERE are you from?
Hi Alexandre, I'm "carioca" but live in the US. My "recipe" to sing is this: listen to great singers and practice a lot. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done :)
oh sorry to hear that. I think he is a great teacher. im recently trying to learn the technics.. but I really wonder if bodybuilding is harmful for vocal training
@LucaYune Physical training in any aspect isn't detrimental to vocal production, rather the opposite. Your voice reflects the state of how you are both physically and mentally, any decline in any of these and you'll notice it.
The only time when physical activity is detrimental is when you're doing it to the point where you have no energy left to pursue your singing.
A única parte dessa ópera que eu conheço é o Ch'ella mi creda, então não posso comentar muito. Entretanto, confesso que acho engracado um dos personagens principais ser chamado Dick - reminds me of what Jon Steward once said about Dick Cheney, "you don't know dick about Dick" :)
Fantastic!!!

Wow, you are really good. A jewel is slumbering here.
You won 6 awards in 4 competitions. In fact you would belong on an opera-stage. I hope we can hear more of you.

did you study vocal training all by yourself?
LucaYune 3 years ago
No, I studied voice technique for 7 years with Victor Olivares, who has recently passed away.

well, Marco, i have seen all of your videos, and wanted to comment.
big voices like yours are rare, in my opinion. glad you are having fun with it, and more importantly, that you decided to sing again! thanks!
it is an honour you got to sing for Maestro Pavarotti. i got to see him in the usa in 2002 or so, after a concert he gave. Such a nice soul.
congratulations and keep'em coming! :D

you are welcome! thank you!
you probably know of martinucci. have you heard of carl tanner?
anyhow, big voice tenors.
was your coach a performer himself? nice technique. even after a hiatus, you use your voice very well. cheers!

Thanks. I'm still rusty after a 12-year "retirement". Hopefully, it'll not take long for me to be back in shape :)

It would really be a waste of a FANTASTIC voice if you didn't give this a real try.
You have such great potential, and that's not saying you aren't good already.
Keep singing seriously, be it for your own enjoyment or for the rest of us :)
