  • Not bad.

  • Well post and well spoken Riperpiper :-) Politics sucks...music not :-)

  • Embeciles.

    The first pipes were Roman.

    Goodness!

  • @Xogroroth 2000 years before that as the oldest form of pipe found was egyptian. And as there are over 100 types of pipes around the world it is safe to say that these pipes are "The Scottish War pipe according to english law. We alsao have the reel pipe the celidh pipe the parlour pipe and the border pipe. The english have an old set dating back to the 15th century the Irish have a couple of sets namely the Brian Bhoru and the eilliean. Like Scotland they are mouth blown and bellows blown

  • Excellent stuff!

  • Hrm...a bit different from the Bob Worral version I am familiar with. Very cool!

  • oops! sorry, i mistook this for a different tune. Still very cool!

  • Great job. I love that song.

  • Err someone is having a bad High A day, but damn, I too have had a few of those. Nice tune lads.

  • Lumbered with the Bass I see Steve..lol.

  • As I say, I'm just a musician who appreciates a good tune. Put aside your prejudices and do the same. You'll enjoy life better.

  • Because we love the tune. We're not interested in the politics. That's in the past, thank God. There are lots of great tunes about the Highland Clearances, the Slave Trade, etc. Should we not be playing those either? :)

  • no you shouldnt be. they are not yours, its like when the irish had the "war pipes" later known as bag pipes (taken by the english from ireland and given to the scots). dont you people ever make things for yourselves? you would never imagine an irish republican flute band playing anything british - because they have no songs to play.

  • The Irish can be such wankers! Everyone knows that the Scots invented the modern world!

  • this song originates from an old irish folk song whereby a young woman warns a man after her about the dawning of the day of uprising aganist english oppression in ireland. its really powerfully republican - why on earth is it being played by a brit army marching band? do most people listening to this even know what it means?

  • This is really well played... a lovely tune! We're playing it in Oslo Caledonian Pipe Band as well, but we need to practice it some more. :)

  • Can someone send me that notation? I loved it very terry tully :O)

  • Very well done. Great entrance. Nice SLOT sort of setting.

    Dave

  • wat a tune luv it!!!

  • Great song, my absolute favourite. I don't play this setting however. still, nicely done.

  • nice job!!!!
