Well done to all involved. This reminds me of my younger brother, when his school choir was learning this; he loved this part and taught it to me.Some years later I sang it too.Wonderful to hear and sing.
I couldn't help but sing along with the altos. We sang this score along with another singing group in middle school. Good times.. this was my favorite, Et in terra pax coming in second.
This brings back memories my high school choir performed this piece along with our full orchestra i thionk that we wedre 200 strong. Go Central Gwinnett!!!
The conductor needs to look up the term 'conducting' as it does't require just giving a beat that the choir and orchestra can follow. Also the beat is very unclear, which is why at the end falls apart through the ritardando, as no one knows whats happening!! This is to be perceived as constructive criticism and not a 'put down' by any means.
been singing along with the entire posts of RV 589! thanks for posting these. either the sound and picture is out of sync, or your conductor needs serious help. heh.
Love the person in the second row who is tapping a foot...hard to listen to this one without tapping along.

Is the conductor actually on the same planet as the rest of us?

Slightly more sprightly vigour from both conductor and choir would have taken this from and OK performance to a magnificent one.

Yes one of my favourites. We are doing this at Greenbank (check out our web site - search for greenbank glasgow) with a choir of 60! The full works!
