Why would it. I have always loved and respected wildlife, particually reptiles. After a while in captivity, he became pretty docile. When I let him go, I kinda missed him. I have pictures of him somewhere, I'll try to find them and post them. Last year in my back yard, I had a timber Rattlesnake. I felt lucky, Because they are endangered here in NY. I have some great pics of him too.
What a beauty! Got bit by one when I was in the Marines from 92-95. I was stationed in Yuma for a few months in 94, working under an LVS, I heard a wierd buzzing noise and ignored it, and I got bit just above my left ankle. I caught it and we made it our mascot for the remainder of our stay. A few days before we returned to Camp Lejune in NC I drove to a reomte part of the base and let it go.
Snake would kill you if provoked, scared or given the opportunity due to your misstep. Its nice to see someone who admires nature, and certainly one that helps animals, but frankly, I think youre nuts...
Thanks -- it was! Yes, I know snakes are deaf. I talk to them anyway. I think it helps put out positive vibes and that they do pick up, as do most critters, whether we can see it in their behavior or not. At least that's what I think. Thanks for your comment!
Beautiful video and great job with the rescue. Since average American kills a rattlesnake on first sight, I become very happy when I see people like you.
I live in Switzerland and I have one of these beauties. They are absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much! They are stunning -- I love them! Thanks again for your kind words. I hope to set an example. What species to you have ? A sidewinder?
I'd be more afraid of the dogs than the rattlesnake.I dont mind snakes being around but if stray dogs act aggresive towards humans they really should'nt be kept around. If you know what I'm saying......yeah that could get dangerous.
This is an absolutely beautiful video! You are such a gentle kind spirit to these creatures! Fearless.....it's wonderful to see! Thanks for sharing. I'll look forward to more.... ;-)
I am not a snake person but he really is beautiful. Forgive my ignorance but are Sidewinder rattlesnakes poisonous? I just assume they all are and if he is you are very brave.
That's a great idea! Releasing a rattle snake in an area where there is lots of illegal mexicans & drug smugglers! Mabe they'll step on him!!!!

Snakes are evil and aggressive by nature.
There should be a reward for killing a snake.
The best snake is a dead snake

Several people got disappointed cos they hoped the damn snake would be shot with a gun and not a camera. What a misleading title

I have a sidewinder, 3 Ottoman vipers, 1 nose horn viper.
I have taken care of monocled cobras, suphan cobras, gaboon and rhino vipers, red spitting cobras, gila monsters, beaded lizards etc.
But they are definitely more beautiful in their natural habitat.
Great job with all your videos, especially with Gilas. I just love them and will surely get cb babies again in the future.

Yes, the sidewinder, like all rattlesnakes, is poisonous, though normally not as aggressive as the others.
