Sorry but it is shameful what Vedanta Coomapny claims and what it is really doing. Ofcourse its not their families who are perishing that you care, or may be money could change that too for them .

Is it a lie that such company did not disturb ecosystems, that it is not killing locals with poisoned water and stealing their homeland.

Vedanta will make them no more than slaves on their own land. There will be no "uplifting".

Vedanta Resources has been repeatedly accused of multiple environmental and human rights abuses, ranging from inadequate handling of hazardous waste, to forced eviction, violence and bribery.

visit lanjigarh for yourself and find out if anything improved or degraded. This film clearly shows how malnutrition and poverty is affecting this tribe. If vedanta can help in uplifting this society for which they have been deprived for 100 of years then what is wrong in it. Did any NGO build roads, hospitals or school as vedanta did?

Then why are they shouting now when vedanta is doing their work.
