Pretty good, but a bit sloppy on the first section. Also, you played the ending bit much too loud at first, it's supposed to be a crescendo up from a piano sound. It also seemed a bit quick. I'll be sure to upload a video myself as I'm performing this and a Bartok piece for a recital thing.

Hey GrammarIsMyLife, thanks for your clarification on behalf of all of us that we aren't Americans and we learn English at school(which is very different from what young Americans speak). Often it's difficult for us to understand things written with abbreviations, slang and language of youth americans. But I must say that Grant is one of the few who writes almost always correctly and we italians understand very well what he says, without much effort(and we communicate a lot with him).
Grammar, I did not say that there is something wrong, I only said that the language that it learn at school is different from what is spoken in everyday life, and this sometimes can create problems in understanding for who is not English native speakers. However, it learn a lot from random people on the Internet... (just for your information, Grant is the person that responds on the site of Stillpendingmusic).
qusoccergrl, thanks! I don't practice that much...I wish I had more time. I practice the most consistently on piano cause my parents ride me...lol...about 20 to 30 min 5 times per week. Curled fingers is the only position that will allow you to have pronounced crisp articulate keystrokes, allowing you to achieve overall grandeur without stepping on the loudness pedal all of the time. Well, if you mean did it take me a long time to learn this song...I worked on it for a couple of months. I learned it quickly but it took me a while to perfect the dynamics. I started playing piano at the age of 5 and I think that is what has helped me with guitar and drums. Thanks for taking time to comment.

Martasp, don't let not having a piano stop you from learning...I started and played many years on a keyboard before getting a piano. I then had an upright piano and only last year graduated to this one. You can go a long way on a keyboard alone...they can be found at Goodwill, garage sales, Craig's List, ebay, etc. for not much money. Now, get going and good luck!
You and your band mates must have been introduced to music when you were really young. I wasn't introduced to playing music untill i was 12:( and i really regret it.

I def realize how much piano helps me with other instruments...I still don't love it though...lol!
kheperan, well...I consider our family very fortunate...we always have enough to eat and we have a nice place to live...but I wouldn't say we are rich...we don't have so much money that we can do whatever we want. If you are referring to the grand piano, it is a Young Chang...certainly not the most expensive and we just got it after my sis and I have taken piano for 7 years. My parents make music a priority in our house. We got the piano but we'll do without something else now.

Well, if you mean did it take me a long time to learn this song...I worked on it for a couple of months. I learned it quickly but it took me a while to perfect the dynamics. I started playing piano at the age of 5 and I think that is what has helped me with guitar and drums. Thanks for taking time to comment.

Martasp, don't let not having a piano stop you from learning...I started and played many years on a keyboard before getting a piano. I then had an upright piano and only last year graduated to this one. You can go a long way on a keyboard alone...they can be found at Goodwill, garage sales, Craig's List, ebay, etc. for not much money. Now, get going and good luck!

You and your band mates must have been introduced to music when you were really young. I wasn't introduced to playing music untill i was 12:( and i really regret it.

angle, i laughed because my Dad just kept the camera running after i finished...i was waiting for him to turn it off but he wanted me to look at the camera at the and and i didn't want to....he wouldn't turn it off until i did...it was just funny at the time...not sure why...

Grant, it is the hilarious laughing at the end of your pieces that makes them even more spectacular! This is a great trademark and you should keep it--your dad's a riot. There are plenty of dull boring pianists with no humour-it makes you seem like a relaxed pro! haha

chickrocker...thanks, grant here, but NO, I am not THE talent in the band. All of us can play more than one instrument. Reed plays guitar, violin and some piano. Andrew plays guitar and bass. I play piano, drums, guitar and play around on the bass. We all really love music and can play several instruments.

Buck, thanks...never had any lessons on bass but I can play the basics on it. What can I say? I just love all things music...piano not as much as the others...my parents make me take piano...but I do think it helps with the rest.

it really does, you will see, you can understand the theory much more easily if you played piano...unfortunately i have never played piano, so i dont really rely on my theory, just follow my ears:)

Andy, you commented on me playing a guitar with frets that are closer together so I didn't have to stretch so far...believe me, I know the only reason I can stretch as far as I can is because of the piano...! I def realize how much piano helps me with other instruments...I still don't love it though...lol!

kheperan, well...I consider our family very fortunate...we always have enough to eat and we have a nice place to live...but I wouldn't say we are rich...we don't have so much money that we can do whatever we want. If you are referring to the grand piano, it is a Young Chang...certainly not the most expensive and we just got it after my sis and I have taken piano for 7 years. My parents make music a priority in our house. We got the piano but we'll do without something else now.
