  • is grip with stuff on it good cuz i want some thrasher grip

  • @goteks613 yeah, it's a lot better than it was last year. MOB graphic tape is really good.

  • MOB or Jessup?

  • Can i use sizzor'ss to cut the grip tape off?

  • @v3n0m0n3r sure, you'll just get a cleaner job with a knife or razor blade.

  • thanks, this video really helped! : )

  • my board setup

    Shut(deck)

    Thunders(trucks)

    pigs(wheels 56)

    bones red bearing

    jessup griptape

    Adidas(cieros)

  • why did you put griptape over griptape? i usually take mine off then apply more

  • @TheAlphagunner8 There wasn't any tape on that deck, it just had a black stain. When re-gripping your deck, you're right, remove the old first before putting on the new.

  • I use a screwdriver to poke the holes to put in the trucks

  • thanks a lot dude, you explained this very well

  • oh man i just love applying fresh griptape to a fresh deck. and i love watching people do who do it right. good job man.

  • Mob is horrible

    Jessup is da best

  • When you get a board or order one off the web do they give you griptape? Or where could I buy some?

  • @RainbowRawr909 some boards come with grip, most you'll need to buy a piece. We have almost 100 different types in stock.

  • jessup

  • always cut toward your friends!mob is the best.

  • Black majic all the way

  • never cut towards yourself! D:

  • JESSUP 4EVER!!!

  • damn straight

  • @mokeyde lol i just got some yesterday so i applied it to my baker

  • that helped alot 5/5

  • what do i do to poke holes in the grip tape do i just go ahead and put the hard ware in or something?

  • Use the hardware to find the holes. Take one of the bolts and put it in the non-gripped side to find the hole. You can then use a screwdriver, or just push the bolt through the grip tape.

  • Push it through the top of the grip tape (top of the deck).

  • Can you put new griptape over old griptape????

  • Yeah, don't do that. You'll need to remove the old grip tape first. You'll have to use some muscle to take it off, try using a puddy knife.

  • You can also get a hair dryer and blow on the griptape so the sticky stuff will be easier to get of

  • do u know what kinda of griptape comes with the deck?

  • You ask for what kind you want you should get element mob or ironhorse though

  • @s5sprite i think mob is the best

  • My Mob Peeled Off My Element FAST

My Zoo York had ironhorse and it lasted.

    R.I.P. Element Board.

  • yeah same i got mob and its peelin like crazy

  • i no mob 4ev

  • yea

  • yeah black magic is 6 and it lasts foooorrrever

  • just a tip when ur done dont rub with screw friver rub with leftover grip

  • Starting at one side of the deck with your grip tape is a lot better.

Start at the tail and work towards the nose for less chance of air bubbles.

  • do u no how much it costs the new grip tape?

  • 4 to 7 bucks the most

  • griptape is like 5.95 usd

    well mob griptape is

  • 5.95 for Mob And Ironhorse is around that i think too.

Those are your best grip tapes.

  • black magic is better yo

  • We have griptape starting at $3.49. Checkout our Jessup Warehouse Skateboards Die-Cut tape.

  • mob is the best grip tape

  • So is ironhorse.

I just got mob on my New element today from zumiez and it works about the same as my zoo york with ironhorse.

  • good vid thx

  • I like to keep the griptape on the backing and slowly peel it off as you go to avoid air bubbles

that way you can also leave some skin showing

  • i hate how the griptape gets attached to your feet so roughly and won't let you do tricks

  • use the grip tape that you cut off and rub it over your deck lightly and that helps the grip not be so grippy? haha don't do it too much though or else it feels like really old grip

  • he gave much help!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this video you just saved me by alot

  • thanx for the help dude

  • well that helped a lot. Now i can help my friend with his new Mullen board!

  • just pop holes from the design side of the board with a screwdriver

  • but how about the holes for the screws?

  • its on the next video man

  • poke holes with an al

  • thanks i just got some neon blue griptape from u guyz!!

  • My griptape is peeling back. I really need some help on what to do to keep it on. Please help. I really need to keep the grip down because i skate in cold weather.

  • ok i have a question...i bought a board from my local shop and he put on the grip tape for me...and a few day later, the side is peeling a little and i used a file and its not working should i use like super gl;ue or something or would that ruyin the board??????plz reply im despirit

  • The board must have had some dirt or oil on it when they put on the tape. Always clean the board before applying griptape. You have a couple of options: 1. Cut the tape back to where it is sticking (maybe cut some cool pattern or flames around the outside) 2. re-tape deck (it is very hard to get griptape off) 3. try gluing it back down (this rarely works) 4. Get a new board from us! Good Luck.

  • Thanks for saving my hands with backing paper trick.

  • Way easier than the way I used to do it. Thanks for the tip.

  • Pretty cool
