Another nice aviation video destroyed by stupid noise...(that you call Music). What a waste of such good footage. Why don't you show some real skill, and have ATC, you r cockpit convesations, and the sweet sounds of the Lycoming pulling you through the air a part of your posting...
Great vidI love flying and landing at night, but it's not for everyone. I hope I never lose power at night or I'm screwed! Don't you wish the landing light was like a car headlight?
I hate landing, or for that matter FLYING at night as a VFR pilot. I like to see the ground and how far away it is from me lol. Very nicely done though! =)
My dad owned a 65 Cherokee Arrow 180(PA-28-180) i never got to see it damn my Age...its because of him im into flying now(im 14) his PA-28-180 had Retractable Gear though, he was a VFR pilot but if he would have kept going farther and not sold his plane he would have more than 1000 Hours by now... atleast 50000
i do humm thunderstruck as well now! haha. or the song from top gun. or possibly eye of the tiger. there all good preflight jams. awesome video! thanx for sharing
I own a 180D. I think i've watched this vid about 8 times and now I can't stop humming Thunderstruck every time I take off. The song realy captures the emotion and rush of flying. Well done f4iguy69!
I have always liked to get into aviation. In the future i would like to buy a Piper Cherokee. What are the expenses not considering the plane it self. Insurance? Hangar(storage)? Maintanance? what else im i looking forward to? can someone who has one of these beauties explain all the expenses one has to pay in order to have one of these. Im looking to spending from 60 to 80 thousand in buying the plane? for a 70-78'. PLEASE HELP????????
For 60 to 80K you can get a Cherokee 180 (in good condition too). Problem is you'll spend close that much in 8 to 10 years of maintaining, storing and certifying the aircraft. Then you have to add in the cost of gas - about 10 Gallons a hour to run it. Its not cheap. Every 2000 hours you need a new engine - 20K. Look into aircraft partnerships with a groups of 3 to 4 individuals - keeps the cost within the realm of the upper middle class and likely you'll get a better plane because of it.
Got a 69 pa 28 180 with less than 200 hrs since engine remanufacturing. Wing leveler, garmin 430, always been hangared its whole life. Would consider selling. Thinking of buying something a little bigger and faster.
