that's real music... today's music sucks, the balance between art and entertainment is no more, now there's no art... britney, rihanna, 50 cent what is that?! mainstream music sucks since mid 90's... it unfortunately proves that most of the people on this planet are just stupid. How can you not only listen to shit that's played on mtv these days, but also go and actually buy it, pay for that shit? good thing we have all that good music from the past for us, from The Beatles to Nirvana, 30 years
@AndreDarkAngel You're referring to current US mainstream rubbish... it's not everything. There is still very very good music being produced these days by truly talented individuals, it's just that US led media don't wish focus on anything that will be lost on their core 12 - 18 year old target market. The difference in the 80's was that there was still a tiny bit of corporate integrity remaining from the "old school" where quality meant more than quantity.
I can see why some bands come up with a rough version of their songs at a home studio before they bring them to a producer to polish them up a bit. If I was in a band, I wouldn't want a producer messing with my band's songs while we were trying to create them. If I was the producer, i would not want a band that seemed to want me to come up with all the songs for them.
