I don't know how I got here, but there's a lot of anger towards the up loader, the voice acting is hilarious as fuck and the rest of the game is garbage. btw, the only megaman game worse than 8 wasn't even a megaman game, it was megaman x 3. end, there's not a single way to competently argue against that.

Yes I agree with you. They should have made mega man 9 and 10 with 16 bit graphics and music because there is a crap load of mega man games that are 8 bit but only 4 that are 16 bit. Who else here thinks that Capcom should at least finish Megaman X with one final game to tie up all the loose ends in Megaman X? Also, who else would've liked to see Iris and Zero as a couple. I know I'll probably get some haters for asking that.
The same problem occured with Megaman X 4. Great dramatic moments, some seriously tragic and (had the acting not sucked so epically) heart-wrenching moments(Iris's death scene) and, though I've heard about the holes in it, a fairly good plot, though it's more dark and dramatic than anything.

For me as novice who targeted on large amount of "lifes" and frequent use of powerful weapon to be able finish the boss even after several misses/fails - 1. H.S. charge 2. E. saver 3. exchanger 4. Spare extra 5. S. recover 6. Power shield 7. arrow shot (40 bolts in total)

Well, I suppose I have mixed feelings about MM8, since my cousin had it many years ago and so I played it a lot because it's Megaman. Sure, perhaps the voice acting could have been A LOT better, and some purists are too picky just because it wasn't 8-bit or anything, but for what it's worth the gameplay is still classic Megaman only that you can now use the Mega Buster and a Master Weapon thus making things more flexible in battle.

I think people don't give MM8 any credit. The main 3 flaws I always hear about the game are
1 bad voice acting
2 it isn't 8-bit
and 3 it is easier then most Mega Man games.
Big deal. The cutscenes look great, the animation and graphics are the peak of low res 2d visuals, the music isn't very Mega Man-esc but its very easy to listen to as well as relaxing, and the bosses have actual personalities and aren't as monotonous as one would expect. I'd love to see another MM game in this style.

Id say difficulty (excluding 9 and 10 cuz I haven't played) going from hardest to easiest would be
Megaman 3,4, 2, 7, 8, 1, 5, 6 with probably 9 being harder than 8 and 10 being the easiest of all, but that's just as assumption from what I have heard
@MiDSinister Here's my biggest gripe. It adds nothing new to the gameplay. The reason that everyone holds the 8-bit games in high regard, is that they all, with the exception of 5, added something new. Even 7 added to the gameplay by including an optional boss, (the only thing carried over to 8). 8 added absolutely nothing. In fact, it took away from the gameplay, removing the Super Adaptor, and the Rush power ups that had been in the series since 3.
Either way, Mega Man 9 and 10 took away even more gameplay features, and in their case there was no excuse. At least Mega Man 8 made up for it with a feeling of a totally new experience in terms of presentation.
@MiDSinister True, 9 and 10 did take more away, I just forgot to talk about them. By 8-Bit games, I meant 1-6. My biggest problem with 9 and 10 is that their 8-Bit. Not that it looks bad, but that Capcom didn't seem to give a crap, and just made them 8-Bit just so they didn't have to make an effort to make 3D graphics or even 16-Bit, and then tried to pass it off as "Nostalgic". And don't even get me started on the fact that 10 is just a heavily edited 9. But thanks for bringing them up.
Even after being called a fish by what might as well be a little girl doing the voice acting, Bass still manages to be badass from catching that falling lift with one hand.
How he did it I don't know, but I doubt that's something even Zero could do :P
Ah, OK. I just thought that he had, judging by the slight lack of collateral damage (IE. Falling debris from the blown-up lift cabin- technically there was some there, but it appeared to be mostly from the building itself) and the way Bass held his arm up, using his Bass Buster to free himself.
The voice acting is so terrible is because the dubbing from japanese to english still has the jap pronunciation showing how lazy capcom (U.S.) was, that aaaaaand these actors are shit faced.

@UsaSatsui I thought so. He could make an interesting villain for any series.. if Inafune remembers him. He'd be great in X. Zero ought to be pretty mad at him for what happened to Iris. He has no "real" name, but he's got four wings like Duo's two, so I like calling him "Quartet." Sound about right?

I think people don't give MM8 any credit. The main 3 flaws I always hear about the game are
1 bad voice acting
2 it isn't 8-bit
and 3 it is easier then most Mega Man games.
Big deal. The cutscenes look great, the animation and graphics are the peak of low res 2d visuals, the music isn't very Mega Man-esc but its very easy to listen to as well as relaxing, and the bosses have actual personalities and aren't as monotonous as one would expect. I'd love to see another MM game in this style.

Id say difficulty (excluding 9 and 10 cuz I haven't played) going from hardest to easiest would be
Megaman 3,4, 2, 7, 8, 1, 5, 6 with probably 9 being harder than 8 and 10 being the easiest of all, but that's just as assumption from what I have heard

@MiDSinister Here's my biggest gripe. It adds nothing new to the gameplay. The reason that everyone holds the 8-bit games in high regard, is that they all, with the exception of 5, added something new. Even 7 added to the gameplay by including an optional boss, (the only thing carried over to 8). 8 added absolutely nothing. In fact, it took away from the gameplay, removing the Super Adaptor, and the Rush power ups that had been in the series since 3.

Either way, Mega Man 9 and 10 took away even more gameplay features, and in their case there was no excuse. At least Mega Man 8 made up for it with a feeling of a totally new experience in terms of presentation.

@MiDSinister True, 9 and 10 did take more away, I just forgot to talk about them. By 8-Bit games, I meant 1-6. My biggest problem with 9 and 10 is that their 8-Bit. Not that it looks bad, but that Capcom didn't seem to give a crap, and just made them 8-Bit just so they didn't have to make an effort to make 3D graphics or even 16-Bit, and then tried to pass it off as "Nostalgic". And don't even get me started on the fact that 10 is just a heavily edited 9. But thanks for bringing them up.

Even after being called a fish by what might as well be a little girl doing the voice acting, Bass still manages to be badass from catching that falling lift with one hand.
How he did it I don't know, but I doubt that's something even Zero could do :P

Ah, OK. I just thought that he had, judging by the slight lack of collateral damage (IE. Falling debris from the blown-up lift cabin- technically there was some there, but it appeared to be mostly from the building itself) and the way Bass held his arm up, using his Bass Buster to free himself.
