  • I've done all the things above. taking gluten and casein out of my sons diet. I'm curious as to what type of education you were providing him with. I have a 2 year old that has Autism. I just want to know what you did beside the diet change.

  • @Gina03MM-At this point, we were doing nothing education or therapy-wise, except 1 hour a week of sensory integration with an occupational therapist. After he turned three, he began attending a Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities through the school district, which used general behavioral techniques to run the class as a whole but was not one-on-one therapy by any means. He was pulled out of class for one hour a week for one-on-one speech therapy (meanwhile we discontinued the OT.)

  • @Gina03MM-We also did several other medical treatments through our ARI practitioner, many of which had significant results. (Go to autism-dot-com to get more information and find a doctor in your area.) Ultimately we never did any therapy other than what the school provided, because we were seeing so much improvement by focusing on the medical side of things. This is not the path for everyone, lots of children do benefit from therapy alongside medical treatment, but this is what worked for us.

  • lovely

  • Congratulations to you and for making your best effort to do what it took to heal your son!

  • He's adorable, love his giggles.

My daughter, who is now 3 years old, got diagnosed at 2. GFCF diet worked best for us. now she can form 3~4 word sentences, and she's a lot more alert now.

    Cheers

  • magnesium, hempseed oil

  • hi what dya mean by a gluten-free, casein-free diet?

  • @silentfuzz - It means you take away ALL gluten (which includes wheat, barley, rye, semolina, and oats, as well as many processed foods that surprisingly contain wheat proteins as cheap filler instead of being 100% real food) and ALL casein (which is all dairy products, including cow's milk, goat's milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc.). Autistic kids seem to be unable to tolerate these foods, and many of them get drastically better, and even recover completely, when they are removed.

  • He doesn't stim his arms & hands..it looks like he's got more control of them in this video.

He has got such a cute laugh :-)

  • congratulations on your success!! Your son is adorable!!!
