Since seeing this trailer, I remembered to shift my expectations at the theater from "Serious and deep Disaster film" to "Hilarious Disaster Porn". It worked. My friends and I were constantly laughing throughout the entire film. 2012 gets 5 stars from me for such an entertaining evening.

The movie was certainly 10x better than this. 2012 was an excellent popcorn flick. I don't buy many BDs any more but I will be buying the BD of this movie. I've loved disaster movies ever since seeing The Poseidon Adventure in the early 70's at the theater.
