Actually, the government lost in court on this one GOREFILMS69. You can watch some of the trial excerpts on youtube where all charges against the driver were dismissed with prejudice by a judge & then dismissed again several months later by a jury after the government appealed.

Now the driver is rightfully pursuing a civil rights lawsuit against the agents and the state police officers who abused their authority, lied in court and basically made a mockery of the legal system in this country.

The dog alerted to the vehicle. The officers have probable cause to search the vehicle. The officers DO NOT have to bring the dog back around at your request. If an officer orders you out, do it. If you do not, you will be arrested for obstructing a peace officer and resisting.

Things are set up this way for the protection of citizens, and protection of the officers.

Everyone complains about police officers, i'd hate to live in this nation without them.
