Sounds good. I gather you want to play your game at a better refresh rate than you currently get? I would do the same but i find modern games a bit boring, and plus they take your life away. As such i stick with 939. :)

not sure but i hear intel x2 are superior to AMD although AMD are a bit cheaper but not necessarily worth it, see if you can go Intel maybe i don't know.
£250 for a CPU? Must be rarety value. My friends tell me it's best to upgrade your mobo if you want a better PC now. I assume this is to what you're referrring to, with the AM2. Sucks being in this situation, doesn't it. :\

Yeah, it's an AmethystM. This is annoying me, I've been trying to get hold of a new CPU, but the 939 is discontinued, meaning the CPU i wanted is over £250 whilst the AM2 edition is under £50.
Duhh its so easy to do that. People are looking for not to do all that stuff but just searching it.

Well, I've decided i might just go and buy a new mobo, CPU and 2GB RAM, it will cost less than that slower CPU for the 939.

I found an Intel core 2 duo E7300 for about £70, seems pretty good to me.
