And actually this was a pretty fantastically-booked match. Not only was there really great and intense ring psychology, with Sting playing it smart and cat and mouse and so on (nobody had even come CLOSE to doing as well against Goldberg as Sting did here), but it succeeded at keeping Goldberg's streak alive, but furthering Sting's image at the time as pretty much unbeatable.
One of the last times Nitro beat Raw in the ratings. In all the DVD's, they say it was because of the return of Ric Flair earlier this night. Are you kidding me? That was cool and all and it might have played a small role, but people mainly chose to watch this Nitro over the Austin/McMahon feud because of this match. I'd go as far as to say this was a bigger dream match than Goldberg/Hogan at the time considering Sting's success in '97 and they were both faces. They really botched this.

wow the fans really seemed stunned after that interference by Hogan. Gooldberg didn't get the pops he usually would for his finishing moves. This match was really good the way Sting just outsmarted Goldberg. Just wish Goldberg wouldn't have been a dick about taking the scorpion deathlock. and it's WAYYYY TOO BIG to be just done on a normal Nitro.

the best part of GOLDBERG is his ANGLE LOCK SUBMISION MOVE.
there is no history that opponent suffered it for more than 6 seconds, despite his devastating spear and jack hammer..
I dont know why he is so interested and curious of that ATHLETIC MOVE. that moveIT MAKES ME LAUGH.

moves and bad moves depends how they r trained..but the ones that put him down and make fights difficult for him for no reason as he is a trained mentor to his youth he they look up to him but the ones that judged him knew that he a good wrestler but trid to beat him down anyway even as they knew he a good honest wrestler they r upset him and these high definition and modern art equipment machines r good but not as good as some of the old classic training methods he is goldberg he is the man

i don't understand why ppl like Goldberg
1) He can't sell a single move
2) Check that in contrast to how well his opponents sell HIS moves
3) His execution is very sloppy
4) Whenever anyone would do a "power move" on him, Goldberg RECOVERS before even the other guy gets back on his feet (just watch all his matches)
He sucks as a "performer"...
He's acting as if it's the UFC. In WWE and WCW u had to ACT and Goldberg doesnt know how to act :) He would have made a great UFC fighter though ;)

@wilzusuki Well I am saying it and I was a huge WCW fan when it was active and a fan of the old WWF during it's attitude era, not this crappy PG WWE nonsence. The match was boring and there is no disputing the fact. If you noticed, the fans diden't fully get into it till Sting took advantage and not when Goldberg had the early advantage. The other thing that made it boring was the fact Goldberg as many people have mentioned couldn't sell a move if his life depended on it.
