What you talking about the motor or the wing? the wings about $60 or so and the motor is about the same? were do you get$850 from...I can buy a car fo that!!!!!
If you go back on the combatwings site and click on unasembled kits and the fourth kit along $69.00 is the basic mini xe it comes with a basic speed 400 motor.
If you want to save a bit of bread then get a Wildwing there about $20 and are just as good. get on the RCGroups website and do a search for both wings plenty of info there.
Ok, thanks. Im very active in RCgroups, (I fly heli's) and I already checked out a couple wing recomendations.
What would you say though, is the cheapest small durable fast wing I could buy? I might already have some lipos or BL motors hanging around I could use. Heli's are a super hassle, and I just want a small wing that I can zip around the sky for cheap and not worry about crashing.
In one word the Wildwing I think you can still get them in the US for about $20 they use to come with all the covering tape and connectors I bought mine about two years ago and its stil flying very tough check it out on RCgroups I have some video of mine flying.
Not got many post up and the wildwng was quite a while ago I've since put the same set up which is in the mini xe if you do get one take no notice of the cg its miles out and throw away the motor bracket and get a steel L shaped one, but this is all on the ww thread.
Combatwings sell them seperately....or they did do, if not there's plenty of good rc shops in the States look for a motor mount for a wing the ones that combatwings do are L shaped so you can secure it under the trailing edge of the wing this sets up the thrust angle of the motor. Read the wildwing thread especially the early stuff its all there (thats if your getting it)
Flying like on the video mostly full throttle is about five to six minutes with the 8 cell 1700 mah, with the 10 cell 1300 mah a little less. If I fly like a 'normal person' mixed throttle settings about eight to ten minutes.
Yeah I've tried all the differant APC sizes and although I was pleased with the performance I think this prop is better and the sligtly larger diameter gives me that extra thrust that's handy because I'm using the heavy Nicd batteries.
Your wing moves on very well. All my planes have JustGoFly motors. Looks like I need to try one of the Cam speed props on some of my wings and other speed planes.
Jesus that thing's fast. lol
