"like frozen music", I like that and it is true. There is so much information there on a pot, if you know how to see it, what to look for. How fast the wheel was moving, how hard the pull, perhaps even the temperament and rhythm of the potter. Some say that the sounds of the room are imparted to the pot when it is trimmed, like a phonographic needle on vinyl. Maybe all of our studio sounds and conversations will be there to be heard some day.
