  • @Cosmored where is it now? Please send me a link

  • Years behind schedule, criminally over budget...Project scrubbed. NASA couldn't get its shit together.

We went from zero to the moon in ten years, now NASA with 20 or more years to prepare couldn't have the shuttle's replacement ready? The damn thing should be operational. Absolutely no excuse for it.

This is why you don't want the government involved in the space program...or ANY program for that matter.

  • it sucks after all that work they landed off coarse on the ground and all died

  • They only stayed for like 10seconds. Very unrealistic. Did they came across deadly alens?

    lol

  • cant wait till they send people to mars

  • i cant wait till they send people to mars

  • nice model

  • I can't wait until they start this. It is awesome!!!

  • they'll never afford this. they'll just enslave the next four generations paying off hippy pensions.

  • @Calakaz and you know this for a fact, or was there a book revealed on you from above?

  • haven't the already finished making the orion capsule?

  • The moon? Been there, done that.

  • @GodivaGirl1 It's more than just revisitin the moon. They are going to build a moon base on the moon. Then from the moon base, they will go to Mars.

  • It's a shame we haven't sent anyone to the moon for so many years and still won't for another 9. Sure, technology has advanced a lot, but still, if we had kept sending people to the moon we probably would've had bases there by now and even more advanced space technology. Oh well, live and learn.

  • What for?If there's a reason to go then humanity will.

  • it is only a American Dream!! If it is possible !?? It is only for Super Rich Society! And we are the Loosers!!!

    Peace Out Rabbit!!

  • Looks like Disney World, where is commander rockefeller? time for the New Space Order, ig 250billion Euros isnt too much for this animation, the low price is cause it's economie crisis.

  • It's possible, but harder to do. First, the original fuel tank and boosters were designed to take them into orbit, not out, so you will need MUCH larger rockets to do the job. Plus, even if we carried the lander in the cargo bay, we would have to modify the shuttle to allow docking at the nose. After all of that, I hope we still have enough fuel in the orbiter to get back!

  • almost like the apollo missions.....why dont they use the shuttle, and go to the moon then deploy the lander from the cargo hold?...saves having to go back to the 60's!!!

  • At very end - ground-lading vs sea as for Apollo? I suppose coming down hard would not make much of a difference for the crew (hard landing is a huge G force whether ground or water)

  • up 2 Uranus.

  • I say we let the people that are going to get to land on the moon be the people that get to pay for the whole thing.

  • i mean journey to the edge of the universe

  • does any1 know what spacecraft they used to travel in the journey of the universe? did the human really get that far? or just a guess.....

  • seriously?

  • space shuttle is 30 years old so the shuttle will retire in 2010. remember the insident of Columbia whare it blew up in rentry, those cracks on the shuttle are getting worse and worse,

  • yep, its too old. The shuttle concept is fantastic, extremely versatile but a lot complicated, lots of thing can get wrong , and a hell expensive. Sorry, back to the 60s with 2000 electronics, not bad either.

  • still looks like it will be held together with sticky tape...

  • Did I see this on real about 36 years ? whats new

  • idioooooooooots, read up alittle more abt it

  • 2020 is way too late i guess they like to waste time in making the ares when they have the space shuttle.

  • The space shuttle is 30 year old junk. They need replacing because they're falling apart and have a habit of randomly exploding in mid-air.

  • Friscasso. What a stupid comment. They do not have a habit of blowing up in mid air. If you mean Challenger, and knowing you, Columbia. The orbiter was not at fault. They are NOT "falling apart" and they are even looking at extending their operations to 2015. Plus, this video is outdated. Orion's SM looks completely different now. Can't get over how stupid your comment was, nevermind how utterly disrespectful it is.

  • Retard.

  • they cant use a space shuttle because its not built for landing they use the lander because its built for landing its would be like making a helicopter go underwater

  • Awesome! Hopefully Obama will reconsider his idea to delay this project for half a decade...

  • @ParsecondSpace or Obama will no longer be president and the new one will change the budget...

  • @ParsecondSpace

Obviously its a two rocket system. The plan is to put a base on the Moon.

  • @ParsecondSpace LESS WAR MORE EXPLORE!

  • wow
