I loved this game soooo much when i was little... even though me and my bro could never beat the second boss, also yeah alien syndrome for wii sucked...
Wow I had this game for the Sega Master System and it was soooo addictive! The gameplay was simple, yet challenging and I NEVER got to the end of the game! I only got as far as Level 5 I think. I see they improved on the game for the NES version, cause the Sega one did not have an on-screen map in the rooms of the ship. The color-scheme for the levels is different and that first boss never had a form where his HEAD could attack you once the body was destroyed! Yikes!
From what I know, Sega made this game for the Master system as one of their franchises. They however, let Sunsoft do an NES port of the game for reasons that I will probably never know. Normally, if your in a system war with someone, it's not a good idea to port one of your unique games to the rivals system. Especially when it could be a killer app exclusive for YOUR system. Not really sure what they were thinking at the time.
Hey cornshaqgaming, about what that guy said that the monsters don't look as spooky as the bosses in this game is partially true, but there are so many monsters in the Wii Alien Syndrome though
Hey cornshaqgaming, when I heard the Alien syndrome made a comeback, I thought it was going to be like the classic one. It was too good to be true :( until Jeff kung had to ruin it =( I thought it was going to be spooky and really ugly scary bosses but was an epic failure. jeff kung just ruined the series of alien syndrome. He makes himself look like a complete fool in his alien syndrome for wii interview. Play the game and you will see the complete differences, and make a play it through.
I guess its an epic failure because you gotta upgrade and use different weapons and armor unlike this one. I understand that some guys rather enjoy a retro game because the gameplay is simple. :D
NO! Its more than that. The newest syndrome game didn't have that feeling from the original one so there was many bad reviews for it. I guess the new generation gamers doesn't understand the classic games from back in the day :/
New generation games based on the classic will ALWAYS feel different, so that can't be helped. i admit I haven't played the the original Alien Syndrome before, but I'm not dissing it. I'm just saying not all new gen game are an epic fail. Frogger (the playstation and PC version) is an epic fail compare to the classic.
I'll do that. I already know about Bionic Commando. Oh, speaking of that game, you ever played the game boy color version called Bionic Commando Elite Forces? in that game you get to play as a male or female bionic comando :D
I'm current gen, but i appreciate games like Street fighter 2, Swords and Serpents, Startropics, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., my father gave my brother and i an SNES from when we were young, still have it. =D, not all current gen gamers underappreciate old games
I had this game for the sega master system with the 3-d glasses, and let mey tell you in 3-d this game is fucking awesome, well at least in the mid to late 80's
...I think you must somehow do one for Zombies Ate My Neighbors, it would be one of the greatest things ever! Though this game always did look cool, I need to try it out at some point.
Loved this game on the Sega Master System. I didn't know until this review they had a version for the NES. Looks pretty good.
