  • Gen. Caldwell is doing a great job in Afganistan!!!!!

  • You guys need to lay off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You did so

much for Afghanistan, plus your troops. You the most honerible person i ever saw.Bravo

  • Illegal.. yep.

This does pale in comparison to DC and what is done in the private sector.

See lobbyist, campaign funding, bribery, gifts multi million dollar jobs.. ext

The century of self is a good documentary and worth watching.

Politicians is essence have tossed the military into the meat grinder for their own profit and that isn't new. Look at the locations of military bases and oil resources. How many oil corps even pay taxes?

Smedley Butler wrote a book on it.

  • Honestly considering that the congressmen would have supported the war even if they were fully aware of the circumstances. I don't see this as much of a story.

  • The US Empire is one big Psy-Op, and it's number one tool is the flag.

  • Psyops is VERY real. And actually used on varying levels to average citizens for varying reasons. Dont be naive.

  • Thank you abbabdabbadolittle

  • On Nov 22, 1963 Col Robert E. Jones sent 8-12 plain clothes Intelligence agents to Dealey Plaza in Dallas.Shortly after JFK was murdered one of those agents named James Powell was found inside the TSDB where many claim shots were fired from.

  • @mikecorbeil -- the CIA may work with "black" propaganda, but not DoD. And your personal opinions of the war aside, that obligation only applies to illegal orders, which doesn't apply in this case.

If you're a serving member of the military, you might want to have your local JAG explain this one to you. If you're not, then count yourself among the "kiddies" you mock below.

  • These days that means alot more than a sales pitch.. It means using illegal tactics with advanced technology. Remember, the High Ranking Military and Secret Government have technology that is 100 or 1000 years more advenced than what civilians have.

Did you know that Bob Lazar discovered and labeled Element 115 and its on the Periodic Table in every HS kids science book now? Also look up TR-3B or Edgar Fouche.

  • This country and made this world are getting really bizzare. protests in the US like protests in libya and barain and Iran and Egypt.

  • You guys have been PsyOpped -- Holmes wasn't a PsyOps officer and no one in that organization was, either. He was what the Army calls an "Information Operations" specialist, someone who is supposed to manage themes and messages (for all audiences) for the commander. He was asked to do his job, what he is trained and educated to do, help the commander tailor their command brief and messages to specific audiences. Nothing illegal or immoral there.

  • @TheDoctrineman You're wrong. What you wrote when considered in the case of the wars led by the US today is "black" psy-ops. These wars were never justifiable, NEVER, and they will never become justifiable. They are wars of aggression, supreme international crimes, have absolutely nothing at all to do with defense, including as meant by the US Constitution. It is a legal obligation according to US military law for soldiers to refuse to carry out these orders. Oath #1: DEFEND the Constitution!

  • Not only does he need to be fired, but he needs to be watched after exiting the military. If some defense contractor gives him a nice cushy job we need to raise a big protest over that also.

  • Henri, I'm with you. give me a break! PsyOps? that's a little bit of a stretch. Show some real evidence that is anything beyond an intense sales pitch...

Should you want to talk about PsyOps, talk about advertisements by pharma companies, and the withholding of information about medications. Or the campaign of misinformation by so many politicians in the U.S. Or the lack of information in this little presentation.

You folks are quickly losing me...

  • @EdDuMonde See my comment in response to monsoonm1n. There are black and white laws about the use of resources budgeted for information operations and psyops, and Caldwell's reported activity clearly violates them.

  • @rethinkafghanistan What laws DC?

Also consider this. The U.S. Army’s Special Operations Command announced Friday that their special warfare center has no record of training Lt. Col. Michael Holmes in “psychological operations.” In an interview, Lt. Col. Holmes said he received training in information operations and how to use the psychological operation techniques but never claimed to have been trained as a psy-ops officer.

  • @EdDuMonde Big Pharma, etc, ads aren't comparable to war. Consumers can freely choose to be informed about commercial products. War is not a commercial product! Afghans don't want this war, which is of aggression, a supreme intl crime, and the Afghans are relatively without defensive means. Some might have rifles and some mortar launchers, f.e., but it's nothing compared to what the US and NATO forces have. Afghans say US-NATO OUT!, but the latter imperialistically refuse. Your analogy is poor!

  • @EdDuMonde Marketing is often psy-ops, today. Not all of it is illegal or unethical. But if I use a sales pitch to try to get you to contribute to the killing of innocent people, destruction of a country, maybe your own country, or to rob your fellow citizens and you realize what I'm trying to do, then you'd rebuke, possibly also call me a traitor, if you have any honor. If I used psy-ops to try to kill you and your family, or rob you, then you'd perhaps want to kill me and think it's just..

  • The proportion of little kiddies who've commented on this video is amazing; like John Wayne, frauds and opportunists, not caring about truth and other peoples' lives, and surely not enlisted in the military risking their own lives.

I thought people would've grown up over the past several years, but we have a bunch of kiddie war cheerleaders here today.

If you approve of what Lt. Gen. Caldwell did, then enlist and get your butt over to the war zone in harm's way; else, cap the wind pipes!

  • @EdDuMonde I have a minor in psychology and I must say that if you've seen the studies, research, and experiments that I have, you would see why this is such a huge problem. Manipulating people is VERY easy to do. I can't emphasize that enough. And it goes way beyond sales tactics. It wouldn't take more then 1 trained psychologist with an agenda to manipulate a politician, yet a team of elite psy-ops military operatives trained to do specifically that? Senators would make good puppets.

  • @bangtizzy The do make good puppets.. I've heard jokes about how easy it is.

    Here is one joke

    watch?v=d3xlb6_0OEs#t=2m10s

  • @EdDuMonde

Be honest, we never had you to begin with.

  • PsyOps? Give me a break. Absent deprivation, hypnosis, coercion and/or psychotropic drugs, how did these matters rise beyond the level of attempting to create a powerful PowerPoint Presentation?

Is this really intended as news, or is it an attempt to encroach on Comedy Central's turf?

    Henri Pol

  • @monsoonm1n

Using resources budgeted for information/psychological operations to message U.S. citizens is illegal on it's face. It's a simple matter of law. It's blatantly illegal, and the fact that it was done by the military to manipulate members of Congress into providing more funding for war makes it very alarming. Even if the use of psy-ops personnel and expertise had zero impact on the outcome of the funding decisions, the use of those resources in that kind of attempt is illegal.

  • @rethinkafghanistan except they are trying to pass a Bill in NY that allows the Federal Government torture citizens without proof through illegal implants. I can send you the website where they are trying to pass it and if it passes it will effect all 50 States.

  • @rethinkafghanistan It's clearly illegal. Worse, however, it's criminal, roguish, gangsterish, psychological terrorism could also be claimed, and the war has always been a criminal one from the very start and will never cease to be criminal; and it's a crime to support and continue crimes, when they harm others and/or cause unjustifiable destruction. The difference between illegal and criminal in my usage of the terms is that illegal is on paper, while criminality is an ethical judgment.

  • @monsoonm1n If you're serious about your questions, then I wonder if you could learn from reality-based answers or explanations. You're probably better off sticking with your computer kiddie powerpoint stuff. It'll keep you entertained while the rest of the world works on trying to see to itself; clearly having no need of any help from computer kiddies.

I'm a computer professional, UNIX systems, but it's good we don't work together; very good.

  • these psyops programs are not designed to end conflict - they are part of the think-tank plotted, war financier perpetuated, war profiteer enriched and baby-kisser spun permanent war economy and destruction of the middle classes worldwide game plan.

  • What is the definition of Psy-Ops ?

  • "Power corrupts and corrupts absolutely."

  • I agree with Grendelcatt. I need more concrete proof-- I mean, where is the beef?

  • @jayveenavy

Well, perhaps you should read the Rolling Stone article. I agree that a two-minute video is not much evidence, but it is not as if there are no clues on how to proceed to learn more, right?

  • I support the message of the video whole-heartedly, but come on guys, are the rock music and glass-breaking sound effects really necessary? Cheapens it a LOT.

  • This is a disturbing allegation of manipulation and the people involved need to be prosecuted if true, however...I meanwhile find this video production to be overwrought and too full of adrenaline -- not what we need for promoting critical thought. May justice and cooler heads prevail!

  • Get OUT of Afghanistan NOW. We're creating hated for Americans and abusing American taxpayers, while making the war industries profit.

  • If only Caldwell had hypnotized McCain into being a little less creepy, I wouldn't have so much of a problem with this...

  • yet another implication of the US occupation of Afghanistan and the way it's conducted.Just who IS this war benefitting?

  • @lunchmind The profiteers are corporations..raytheon, halliburton, boeing, kbr, lochead martin,l-3 comm. etc ..etc.....

  • If Caldwell isn't court martialed, you'll know who really runs this country.

  • Fire him hell, court martial his ass !...
