As a regular in Grand Junction I feel the need to inform you that where this video was made is called "back ridge". Skinny ridge is much steeper and much harder to ride......

I have lived and ridden in this desert since 1974, and we always called it SUPER Skinny Ridge.

Back ridge is more commonly called "Dark Ridge" and the line these guys are taking may not be as steep as the top twenty feet of "Skinny Ridge" but is 5 times longer and is a much tougher climb. The line that they are taking down the common way up which is fairly easy to ride.

superspike thanks for the props I started rideing dirt bikes when I was 15! I just got a line on a CR 1000 it is 2 500 motors mounted one in front of the other just do Kenny Hamil in the search box and some more of my hill action will come up. there is one that is tittled the same as this yet has a different avatar and it is a CR 125 chassis with a 500 motor I built. When I get the twin motor bike I will post up a video of some of it in action.

be careful if its your first 2 stroke. i started out on a 2 stroke and i cant stand 4 strokes on dirt bikes they feel too underpowered but i am sure it feels like 2 strokes overpowered to you LOL. think its neat how perspectives can be so different.

my waterpump was leaking and all I had was pump gas yet the photogrpher asked for some runs so I did them. Lots of fun I plan to build a twin motor 500 so i got enough power for the hill

Yea the guy with the poor tired cr comment all I can say is bring what ya got and we will see if you can give the hill a go. I know one other bike a kx 500 with extensions owned and riden by a fenominal 60 year old rider make this hill. Some other giuys have taken both these bikes to the top yet I have yet to see them do it as consistintley as me on my poor tired cr. By the way things were not perfect this video was done on the spur of the moment

The bike is a 97 cr 500 with a 91 motor on regular pump gas, running hot because of cooolant loss(water pump seal)The swing arm is 18 inch extension makeing the weel base 74". Nothing but a blast running that hill with that bike. I want to build a bike with 2 500 motors so the hill will be a breeze.Thanks for all the good comments, Kenny
