It's just based around the historical figure. Why should the Batiatus of this series be fat, is he usually depicted as such in the many versions?

What makes up to this is that hes very rich, but despite his wealth he lives in a simple home with no extraordinary luxury. Hes a very good salesman, almost a genious you could say. Hes also very good at recognizing people, he can recog. 10 000 peoples faces in the book. you should read it great book
