The guy in the white (McCain) has very good footwork, coordination, and is very explosive, but has bad ball skills. Out of the 3 he is the most fluent. DOWNSIDE HEIGHT but if he is a corner it dosent matter the scheme he plays in hopefully will help. As of Mr. Smith he has great size and potential, but he needs a lot of technique work.
I wouldn't be surprised, and not just because he's 4 inches taller. Watching Davis play a lot of times it's just getting tackles after the catch or knocking it loose. Smith on the other just shuts down the receiver, largely because at 6'4" with 36 inch arms no one wants to try and get it by him. He also was a wide receiver until the last 2 games of his freshman year so he has great hands for a db and understands how receivers run their routes.
Sean Smith is going to be awesome for us. He's only been learning the CB technique for 2 years. He's a quick learner too, so he should pick it up quite well in the NFL. Him and Vontae are gonna tear it up!

Jeff Darlington the Miami Herald.
Im hearing the staff privately thinks Sean Smith is "head and shoulders" above Vontae Davis right now. And that's not a knock on vontae.
