  • Jesus, I was watching tv today when this show came on. Lets just say instant nostalgia smacked me in the face. lol i wish I could go back to the 90s

  • I have posted some of the 2000-2002 episodes on my channel. You should really upload the original commercials/YTV ID's and promos to get more views or trade it.

  • damn they had the old honeycomb commercial!

  • I was on that show myself, i played NBA Jam.

Nicholas was the BOMB (BTW, i know his real name ;) )

  • OMG I'm 10 years old again!!!

  • the theme makes me think of crash man from megaman 2

  • I had my letter read on that show, and have been trying to find the episode it was on. I won a Rodgers free rental card, which was great considering there were no Rodgers videos near Cambridge, Ontario... the city I lived in as a kid. If I recall, the letter involved a code for Ninja Turtles II.

  • Must say I'm pretty jealous of every person who has posted on this video mentioning that they got to be on the show.

  • what ever happend to this show man this used 2 be ausome

  • @huggi2 the internet happened...

  • Oh! and if anyone finds a V&A Top 10 Video with a Black kid whiling his arm in the air when they were introduced....yea. That was me....

  • i was on the show and all i won was a t-shirt -.- same with my brother and best friend but my sister wwas just in the audience but she won a game

  • I was on that game show sometime around August 2005. Played Smash Cars. Won.(Bitchin'!)

  • i was on this when i was 11, ahhh the good old days:P

  • I was on that show when i was 12.

    Played Perfect Dark.

Got my ass handed to me.

  • haha i love how he says the game will be one of the best of all time

  • Wow I always wanted to be on this show I never knew how to get on.Once I sent in a drawing of Mario and they sent me an N64 game. They sent me Rampage 2 hahahah man I was so happy I had no idea I forgot I even sent them something.

  • Man the opening theme sounds like the first few bars of Crash Man's stage from Mega Man 2

  • I went on that show back in the day for Cruisin' 64', I lived right near the studio too back then

  • lol, I like how you fast forwarded the music segment, I remember always getting something to eat durring that because that was always too long and boring.

  • i went on that show like in 1998 i had to do a lot to get on it

  • I got in through my school, and there used to be this Nintendo Tower place at Ontario Place, they had like a open tournament for kids and I was already really good at games back then and destroyed the competition and got in

  • i think he is Karl

  • I was on this show twice...I won once (playing Rainbow Islands for the NES) and ended up dead last (playing some racing game for the SNES)

  • I met Nicholas a few weeks ago and I know his real name! haha

  • who were u

  • ;O niice, iremember when i was on this show! does any1 have footage of when they did the polar express!?

  • lucky.

I used to love this show as a kid but never got to go on it...

PS gotta love the old skool ytv ads

  • IS THAT HIS REAL NAME?

This show always sort of pissed me off, since more than half of it was usually stuff completely unrelated to video games, they'd always spend 2 minutes saying what they were going to win.

I'm nostalgic when I see it, but man.

I was always confused by that thing they had that let them play GBA games through the N64.

  • Dude.. you have some serious issues. Rather than being a hateful and spiteful person you should find something better to do than vent all over my video. This video was 13 years ago. Okay? And for one, you don't have to LIVE in Toronto to attend. My father lived there and I was a fan of the show as a kid and went on it. Big whoop. I'm not a moron nor uneducated, seems like you should take a look at yourself sometime. You don't like the show? That's fine. Just don't post a comment here, simple.

  • I LOVED THIS SHOW.

  • Heh, we were from the same era. Sailor Moon being the biggest thing on YTV.

  • Yeah and it also destroyed the reputation of that network by putting Sugar on.

  • Comment removed

  • LMFAO i remember when the YTV motto was keep it weird...those were the days

  • There motto should have been "Fucked up all the time!!".

  • Indeed it was, because it was weird! xD Though nowadays it's gotten even weirder.. to a more or less uncomfortable state. o__o And guys, I apologize for godzilla0083's behavior. Ignore him, he's just got personal issues he needs to sort out.

  • Helen looks super cute....

She probably looks hot now. Sam with emily

  • how old are u now? man i wished i could be on that show so many times. would've won no doubt lol. except i wouldn't want any of those crappy prizes..

  • I'm 23 years old now. xD This was back in 1996 or so. Easy to remember since my nephew was born later that year. I wish I could've done better, I only won because I could land the stunts. They only gave us 15 minutes practice and the N64 was just brand new at the time (I didn't own one yet) so.. all of us basically sucked. LOL

  • @VenusAdept thifga had changed a lot from when i was on in 1992... were the twins from Degrassi there( i remembered meeting them the second time i went) i came in second both times I played... the first game was rainbow island... and the second game was a 4x4 racing game.... I am looking for either of them as i would like to see them again....IT was a BLAST being there and I know i had a lot of fun when i was there. when i was on there was no game wall..... but i won the timex watch both times

  • @VenusAdept actually this was after 1998

because they showed Star Wars Rogue Squadron which came out then.

  • your parents call it : how much does it cost??

your grandparents call it : video game uhs

  • Holy crap, @ 8:23, I remember that Honeycomb commercial.

  • Lol. Crashman theme as their main theme.

  • Man, I had one of those Donkey Kong bubble bath things. I wanted a Game Boy so much I'd settle for pretty much anything that even looked like one.

  • Yeah they played a lot of shit on this show, and it was like "collect the most of the hardest to find item and you win!

  • i remember this show it came on again like 3 or 2 years ago i remember it every saturday evening i watch this show OMG I want it to come back on why does all the good shows leave

  • The show wasn't that good but there was this other show set in Playdium that also did a somewhat similar thing with looking at games.

That was a bit better but if a game show like this came back on the air again, I'd like to see one that deals exclusively with Wii games.

  • also, i remember one where the guy got the red ball.....and chose books.

  • This show always sort of pissed me off in later years. The prizes were usually crappy, and the "movies" they talked about were usually awful as well.

it always bugged me how they spent like 10 minutes saying what the prizes were, and what the sponsors were, then like 2 minutes of gamplay,.

anyone remember those weird things they had for GBA games? It was this large gray theing that they popped into an N64, and put a GBA game in top..it was like the game boy player for the cube...but for N64

  • This show made people play some really shitty games. Like Jimmy Neutron and shit for the GBA. That game wasn't very competitive or worth-playing in my opinion.

At least they put in Super Smash Bros Melee. though.

  • Did you keep in touch with your in studio buddy Jefferey? I always wondered how that player/buddy dichotomy worked...

  • Just remembered the name of the other game i was on for, Pikmin.

  • I went on that show 3 times! This brings back memories, but you had to get up and go to it at like 4 in the morning, and then wait around all day for your turn cause they film like 20 shows in one day. Also, once you were sitting in the audience, you had to clap for like 10 minutes straight at the end of the show. If anyone has the video of a kid named Brendan winning while playing Banjo Tooie, or playing Mario for GBA or a game for 64 where you control guys made of seeds, please msg me!!

  • 3 times?! Wow!

  • Yeah, but they made you wait two months or something in between going. If you had been there already, and called to get on again and it wasnt two months afterwards, they wouldn't let you. The trick was to call on a day that the show wasn't on. That way the line wasn't busy, and you got the answering machine thing. ;)

  • lmao I used to love this show AND uh oh... this takes me back to the good ol' days :D

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaah nostalgia

  • this used to be my favourite show

  • Nice got the red ball.

I always wanted to go on this show when i was a kid.

  • i think the author has never heard of videocapture card and your vcr.

  • YTV sucks now all they do is air prank patrol and that stupid kid talent shit

  • ya everyones gonna forget about them in 1 week

  • yo they should bring this show back with the new consoles, that would be awesome

  • Oh god yes!!!

Just imagine, Gers of War or Resistance II!

  • Or Street Fighter IV,Super smash bros Brawl,Call of duty world at war and even Mario Kart Wii

  • LOL this is awesome! I always watched Video & Arcade Top 10 on Saturday mornings.

  • what year is this from and are u karl

  • You didn't watch the video, did you? >_> My voice at the start is female. I'm contestant #3.. the person who won. And it was back in 1996.

  • wow o.o

    congrats!

  • Kids in this show were always so retarded. So were whoever recorded clips from unrelated games. Seriously. All the game clips they show are really painful to watch or otherwise really bad. this video is a good example >_>

Do they not have any other players focused on? Was there nobody doing any better to switch to? I really hated this show in general. They'd tell you useless things or otherwise crap that's in the manual, there's bad playing all over... the show just sucks. I kept hoping.

  • I'm trying to figure out when V&A started selling out by playing PS2 and XBox games. Until that point, they only played games on Nintendo's consoles and portables.

  • I don't think snowboarding over a bridge would work :S

  • lol... thats hilarious..

  • I was on that show, playing Donkey Kong for game boy. I wish I taped it.

  • I WAS ON THE SAME EPISODE

  • You are SO lucky! I always wanted to be in that show!

    ALWAYS. O_____O

    *is jealous right now*

It's nice that you won, too! Aw man, this makes me wish mom didn't have so many busy schedules at the time, she could've drove me there. XD

  • LOL yeah but I called them repeatedly until they allowed me on. XD Yup my dad is in Toronto so I took the opportunity to go on the show because I was a huuuge fan. It's ironic that I won, as you can tell; I was surprised. o.o

  • one of the hosts has an account on here, its like Phillydog or somthing

  • i watched this show all the time when i was younger... the contestants played almost similar games all the time though, they played like Wrestlemania 18 like 100 times. good show though.

  • i was on this show twice :P in 2002 and 2003

  • wow how lucky u were u got to be on the show win on the show and got the red bouns ball wowzers lol u must have been happy

  • i rember this show my father always made fun of the hosts cuz they never stoped to breathe lol

  • I remember this friggin' episode!

  • This show brings back memories.

  • Lol I went crazy to get on that show. I actually called them and left something like 20 messages and then they called my mom saying that I was accepted onto the show and to stop having me call them. XD
