I am a fan of the old cartoon, but unlike most, I would of like to have a more mature Ninja Turtles, then i saw the first movie, the 2003 series, and TMNT and my hopes have been answered. Didn't care for movie #2, and i keep hearing about this movie #3 and i can't find a single thing on it, as far as i know i agree to saying this #3 doesn't exist.

i think that the 03 series is one of the best series in the early 2000s because it combines have the larger than life plots in the 80s cartoons and the necessary darkness of the movie. the only problems i had with it is that they made Leonardo the main charcter (which is weird because this show is what made him my favorite turtle but i notice that as a problem) and that it was made by 4kids (trust me i could go on and on about why i hate 4kids entertainment for hours)

The only thing I complain about theTMNT film in that I didn't care for the villian subplot other than that I thought it was a good reboot. As for people saying that the 2003 series is dark, I think it's not dark enougth.

Back then, I watched the 80's cartoon and had the action figures that looked menacing which I wondered why. Years later, during the 2003 series, I stumbled upon maybe the official website and discovered the original comics that reminded me of the action figures. Comparing the two series, the original (even though I loved it back then) is kinda childish while the 2003 version has a more stronger story, so I would prefer the latter and respect the original source material as a general TMNT fan.

I watched the cartoon far before the comics. So I am biased towards the quirky comedic cartoon turtles of the 80's. I'm fan enough to like other plot lines. But they are my favourite. And I understand why many people use that as a basis for comparison. It's because while the comics came first and had a reasonable following... it was that 80's cartoon that first shot it up to being a "cult classic" (which the comics have also become I might add - the 80's toon just got there first).

Oh, I know what you mean.

The show sort of suffered a bit like with Transformers with the animation errors at times. I do kind of perfer the new series cause it's more dark/Action pack vs. just comedy with Action.

I do miss Krang though. :(

the three new turtles shows are just one show, but they are doing it like amine. Alot of people I know say the new show is bad, and the old show is good storyteller, but there all wrong. The old show is herrndisly bad.

Well the cartoon is part of our country's cultural consiusness, so when you make an updated version (a remake or sequel) people are expecting a version to come from that source. Totally understandable, and lets be serious most "fans" of the comic picked it up in the first place because of their love 4 the television show.

You are so wrong. The original TMNT cartoon is awesome. Its totally different than the new toon. Its like comparing Burtons Batman to West's Batman. They are two totally different interpretations.

The original toon has some awesome serious episodes as well as breaking the fourth wall all the time and not taking itself seriously. Its held up surprisingly well. It is not cheesy or crappy like other old shows like say transformers.

I agree on that point, it sucks when people dismiss the new show because its truer to the comic and not like the old show. Thats not the fanbase of TMNT though thats just people who grew up with the show.

part 2. I understand and love the comics but feel the fun of 80s. It's a different kind of tmnt as in the case of 60s batman. I think the best medium between fun and angst is the first movie, which I still love and use as my standard.

oddly enough my dad does that! blasphemer! my dad has an interesting form of nostalgia, he doesn't take things to seriously. I asked him what shows he watched as my age once before I knew batman. he straight up told me it was a comedy. He remembers green hornet as fun action. And after he bought speed racer dvds for nostalgia, he rips on the mouth flaps constantly ,because he doesn't really understand anime or it's dubbing process. btw did my part 1 send I don't see it on this vid?

I completely agree with you on how people base the cartoon rather than the comics. I really didn't like the 80's cartoon, the 2003 cartoon was awesome, Fast Forward was fun at first but got annoying after and i really haven't seen that much of Back to the Sewers. Great video as always.
