  • I am so sorry.

  • If you have the scan report it might say "Hydrocephalus" - or "Communicating hydrocephalus." Ask your doctor is there is enlargement of the ventricles. And ask for a test where they drain spinal fluid and see if he improves. If you are not getting help from your neurologist go to one familiar with NPH. It is so often misdiagnosed because doctors hate idiopathic ailments.

  • @maverichnikov well, my dad passed away so i can't do the test, but i will ask my mom if she still has the scan reports. it would be interesting to know. he definitely knew that there was something wrong with him and he was so incredibly frustrated about it. we all were. thanks again!

  • NPH if there is also urinary incontinence and cognitive decline plus a scan which shows enlarged ventricles.

  • @maverichnikov - interesting. he also had urinary incontinence and a cognitive decline. not sure about the scan and enlarged ventricles. he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's... thanks for the reply!
