@mjcapo1 akitas get really big and need lots of room to exercise if you walk them often and train them well they will be the most loyal dog ever... they are not however f=very dog friendly so when they are pups make shure you socialize them properly

wow you were so lucky your dog lived to be 18 what you do for him to live so long my akita male lived to be 14 he was the old style markings (pinto) he was to smart and loveing he 135 pounds in his prime i miss him so was my best buddy but his gene's live on i studed him twice 14 daughter s he had i should have kept two . :(
@scrappinkat6 i love your akitas i got a american akita black and white called max i think he was from the AKC american kennel club we got him for $950 we had pups a year ago with a white coated american akita with a blackish brown mask looks simlar to your adult female akita but without darkbrown ears the girlhad goldish brown ears yours r so beutiful they are cute bundle of joys
