Most of the PC gamers like me are hardcore gamers, but Crytek decided to deliver this to the casual gamers like many. One thing people don't understand is that unfortunately PC gaming community is not as large as console gaming. Not everyone is a hardcore geek. I mean why do you think CoD sells more, because its main focus is on console, and that's exactly what other publishers are trying to do.
@TheMightySinnerHD Are you aware that there are a total of 7 million user on xbl? that isn't active, it's total. Steam currently has 30 million active users. psn has less than xbl so that's a total of 14 million POSSIBLE. which is less than half of steams active user base. Steam also has more than half of xbl's total population login daily. PC is stronger now. Developers just haven't noticed yet (with the exception of dice)

Graphics are not always what makes a good game but Crysis is graphically intense, the better your rig the better performance (these days almost any PC can handle it with fair settings). I'm actually glad that they decided to release this for consoles. I play on consoles as well, and I mostly use my PC for highly graphically demanding games like Crysis, and Battlefield. Also GTA 4 and Skyrim with mods.

Also, PC hardware is not expensive anymore. This year, I bought: new PSU ($75) and 2 new videocards at $120 each this year. Also bought a new CPU at $80. That's about $400 all together, and with everything I already had, far more worth it than buying a piece of crap console. :)

The problem isn't even the hardware, it's really the developers being cheap, not giving us better games. Games that are made with PC as lead platform actually end up better on consoles, than they would otherwise.
Console hardware actually has awesome capabilities, problem is the amount of RAM, and the fact that you can't upgrade it.
@RalphCQ no point in upgrading it unless it is necessary. Which is why my laptop is crap. Good enough to run some games if I ever see something I want. There's about 1 in every 500 indie games that look decent. Console gaming is taking over if it hasn't already. So many ps3 exclusives that are incredible compared to what PC games have to offer. The last good pc exclusive I can think of is world of warcraft and you can run that game on a 10 year old computer
I have this and man, is it great. Graphics look wonderful on my xbox. I can't believe it was only 20 dollars. And its fun, because if it wasn't, the graphics would be ruined by bad gameplay. But it's so great. If you have 20 bucks, and you have been looking at this, just get it. By the way, at first, the game is a bit confusing, just follow your radar.

Wow pretty cool they got it running smoothly on consoles, though with obvious loss of detail. And for it being a 4 year old game, its still the best fps I've ever played. Say what you will about Cryengine 3, its still a much more clean cut engine than CE2.
Alot of people got Crysis to benchmark their pcs... they couldnt have cared less about graphics or gameplay... seeing how it was one of the worst optimized and coded games of its time. Im well aware it doesnt look good as a high end pc... but the fact they managed to bring such poorly optimized game to console in any way shape or form is impressive in my book.

There's still plenty of pc exclusives =D. The whole rts genre for instance is almost exclusively on pc.
I'd still wait and see. It wouldn't surprise me if they have taken some shortcuts when it comes to ai, physics and ofcourse graphics. The low resolution is clearly the biggest issue. There's a huge difference in native 1080p, and the resolution the consoles will have.
Most ppl cant afford a super pc from this so i rather play it on console.

@LooneyGaming Deny it all you want, you know PC's a better experience. Better graphics, better hardware support, and MUCH cheaper games. People like you LET the big companies give us all crappy games that cost too much.
Also, PC hardware is not expensive anymore. This year, I bought: new PSU ($75) and 2 new videocards at $120 each this year. Also bought a new CPU at $80. That's about $400 all together, and with everything I already had, far more worth it than buying a piece of crap console. :)

I don't hate consoles, what I hate is how developers are making inferior games, and still charging $60 for em... Then releasing $10 DLC's. Has nothing to do with the market, either. Even if they do make games with PC as lead platform, it won't affect any sales numbers. Why do you think Dragon Age 2 was a pile of crap, compared to Dragon Age 1?

You don't know how good global offensive will be because no one has played it yet. arma 2 is mediocre at best. Our exclusives mop the floor with it.

The problem isn't even the hardware, it's really the developers being cheap, not giving us better games. Games that are made with PC as lead platform actually end up better on consoles, than they would otherwise.
Console hardware actually has awesome capabilities, problem is the amount of RAM, and the fact that you can't upgrade it.

There's about 1 in every 500 indie games that look decent. Console gaming is taking over if it hasn't already. So many ps3 exclusives that are incredible compared to what PC games have to offer. The last good pc exclusive I can think of is world of warcraft and you can run that game on a 10 year old computer

I have this and man, is it great. Graphics look wonderful on my xbox. I can't believe it was only 20 dollars. And its fun, because if it wasn't, the graphics would be ruined by bad gameplay. But it's so great. If you have 20 bucks, and you have been looking at this, just get it. By the way, at first, the game is a bit confusing, just follow your radar.

The gameplay looks more refined. More accurate, less power consumption and easier controls. Thank-fucking-god.
The only downsides is the colour. It all looks to dark, and the trees look to blurry and the explosions are poo.

Wow pretty cool they got it running smoothly on consoles, though with obvious loss of detail. And for it being a 4 year old game, its still the best fps I've ever played. Say what you will about Cryengine 3, its still a much more clean cut engine than CE2.

Alot of people got Crysis to benchmark their pcs... they couldnt have cared less about graphics or gameplay... seeing how it was one of the worst optimized and coded games of its time. Im well aware it doesnt look good as a high end pc... but the fact they managed to bring such poorly optimized game to console in any way shape or form is impressive in my book.

There's still plenty of pc exclusives =D. The whole rts genre for instance is almost exclusively on pc.
I'd still wait and see. It wouldn't surprise me if they have taken some shortcuts when it comes to ai, physics and ofcourse graphics. The low resolution is clearly the biggest issue. There's a huge difference in native 1080p, and the resolution the consoles will have.
