In fairness there are loads of wonderful locations in Africa that you can easily move to without many problems. Africa is up and coming and trust me there are great opportunities if you business inclined.

@sexychocolateHAITIAN In Ghana depending on where you are they will speak a primary language, so in the capital city it is mostly Ga, around Cape Coast area it is Fante and the further north you go it becomes Akan (Twi) and then a range of Northern languages and Hausa. If you learn Akan aka Twi, you will get by wherever you are because the Akan population is so large. People in Ghana can speak maybe 4/5 languages, one of them will be English, so if learning Twi is hard, English will get you by.

@sexychocolateHAITIAN In Ghana depending on where you are they will speak a primary language, so in the capital city it is mostly Ga, around Cape Coast area it is Fante and the further north you go it becomes Akan (Twi) and then a range of Northern languages and Hausa. If you learn Akan aka Twi, you will get by wherever you are because the Akan population is so large. People in Ghana can speak maybe 4/5 languages, one of them will be English, so if learning Twi is hard, English will get you by.

@Lakena2552 you need to relax and not assume that you are not welcome in any african setting, and whatsmore if you take the time to do some research about what country you want to settle in, the region, the people , the foods, and not have any preconcieved ideas you will get a lot more out of it.. however the most important thing that is more difficult for americans to do is divest themselves of their americanness when dealing with africans, its not an easy step to make , i wish you all the best

I like this woman, she shows what repatriation should look like. She hasn't moved back with preconceptions. She has simply made another country home for her family the same way Westerners do in Singapore. It's just another country where you can feel more comfortable

@SuperQueenofAfrica I've seen the whole video and the ladies you are talking about. Yes, they frustrate me by their actions. Unlike this lady (and her mum), those women and their husbands bring along their preconceptions of what Africa (or at least Ghana) needs and what it owes them. We cannot change the past, but if African-Americans are going to move to Africa they must treat it as if they were going to Europe or anywhere else, like this family. That's what Africa deserves.

It made me livid watching that video and I think that the government should monitor such behaviour and make it clear that, people who intend to belittle the indigenous population based on misinformation fed to them by former imperialist governments from whom they themselves are running, are not welcome in the continent.
