But you are fine anyway. Modding the PC version is fine. The problem arises when you must make hardware changes to the 360 for mods to work on it. The live detects you and bans you. :P

@Mouldywart The reason's why 360 blocks mods is because they don't want you modding your xbox to the point that you can save games to your hardrive without needing the disc to play it like you could on original xbox (rent a game for $7) and modding your xbox to get free content, i dont know if they can tell mods from differnt mods but if they can they should add mods and keep bad mods like those listed banned so you cannot use them but its probably easier to block them all.

@Assann1 no it's not possible to do it without a mod, when oblivion was made they had no intention of you getting off the ground.. All of the cities in the game aren't really there on the open world map, that's why they have the loading points, if they were there they wouldn't need the loading points & the gates would be wide open..

it's mainly just smoke & mirrors to allow the developers to speed up the games production progress without needing to fill in zones that the player will never see.

That's why they used this method, Every game uses it in some way shape or form here's an example In Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess many people are trying to get into areas they don't belong, what they see while in those areas are poor beta textures & oddly placed objects. Devs have no reason to design something the player won't see. Although it seems kinda half-assed, it works & ALL game designers do it.

The only way I can think you could get 3rd party software on the 360 when it isnt supported is with 3rd party hardware but modding your xbox will get you banned if you are detected.

What banned from Xbox Live? Only if you are using those mods for something like Call of Duty online. Other than that they can't ban you for modding your Xbox.

Please look up point 16 of the Xbox live terms of service. It clearly states that unauthorised hardware will be banned if detected through scans performed by the system on your Xbox. The banning is usually automatic and very hard to reverse. I would advise removing the hardware or staying offline to prevent the cancellation of your account.

Having a machine with no online capabilities whatsoever is pretty grim. They also have the right to cancel your account. Remember you only have to sign on to live for a scan to be performed. You don't need to play online and your mod doesent have to relate to online play. All the system looks for is 1 piece of unrecognised hardware. It doesent try and identify it.
