Sandara park is not what Philippines calls a professional singer by any strech but she is an Award Winning actress first and formost with tremendous charms, just so happen that she likes singing as well as acting so the philippine entertainment industry gave her that becoming a platinum recording artist in the process. She had guts to actually do that since she knows first hand what kind of singers the Philippines produces..Her singing in korea have improved yet you cant hear it without autotune
If YG is after the money in the Philippines they should have already made 2ne1 album avaialble already like those other catchy song from JYP and SMS. But that's not the case cause they know how strong Sandara's base is in the Philippines.
I believe they wanted to make a statement, after all Philippines is the concert capital of Asia and believe me Sandara's 2ne1 will be the only k-pop group that will definetely almost fill to capacity the 100,000 SMX MoA venue.

I think that right now the Krn entertainment industry is hotter than ever and no other asian country consistently produces as much intercontinental talent right now. Thats evident in the popularity of dramas, cds, cosmetics and celeb endorsements in the big azn markets (China, Taiwan, HK, Japan, and Korea).

There is ONE pinoy american band, however, that I've been searching for as of late. It was an indy rock band and they had a single sometime in '03 that was about the 9-11 attacks. Do you have any idea what Im talking about? quite catchy song.

I think this is a video of her during her 1st major concert as a student of the center for pop music philippines held at The Music Museum. The Voice stylizing she learned was very obvious in this performance indeed Sandara really can sing well.
