This is a great video, with incredible photos of your trip. I completed the journey to Alaska on my 2006 1800 Gold Wing the summer of 2010. The Gold Wing was great, although I intend to make the journey again in a couple of years however it will be on a BMW GS Adventurer.
Ride for the destination, the journey, and the incredible fellowship of the riders you meet.
I'm planing my trip somewhere in july and hope that will meet someone to ride with. It's hard to find riders that will go at the same time and same way you wanna go, so that's way i figured that it's better to star it your self and meet readers and do it that way. You were good sample to me and wish you all the best in next adventure trips.
I've been on the fence about buying a new GS 1200 adventure and this just might do it. I moved here (Olympic Penninsula, WA) from Maui where I only rode my Honda 750 a few times a month (nowhere to go, really) and told myself when I moved to the mainland I'd buy one of these bikes... but I don't know anyone out here, but seems like if I buy the bike I can certainly find like-minded people my age (~50). I am self-employed so taking time isn't an issue.
i stumbled on this video when i was looking for the north slope on Google Maps. WOW i am so glad i did. I have never been on a bike in my life but i sense the thrill this journey was for you and feel privileged that you shared this passion with all of us! Big Smiles.
I was about 7 yrs old when I rode the first bike at a high speed! The real estate agent drove me to my home. It was a raining day. I sat on the gas tank front of him. Hail of rain just struck my face. The feeling was indescribable! I was really shocked and happy!
I will get this bike and go somewhere to enjoy the fact that the earth is still alive.
that was an amazing video, i have planed a trip from london (UK) to Rotorua (NZ) to see a girl who left my life a long time ago because her and her family moved to new zealand, but this video has inspierd me, i cant fank you enuf for posting it on youtube
I'm almost speechless. This video is one of my life dreams. I want to do this exact trip with my dad someday. We both have 07 GS Adventures, mine is exactly like the white one in the video.
Your choice in music hit the nail on the head for this video!!
It also gave me goosebumps to watch this, because of what it means to me to make my dream come true...
Great video and music selection! You inspired me to get my own GS and now I'm scheming for a trip!! The Seger line comes to mind: "dreams die hard and we watch them erode, but we cannot be denied the fire inside".
Thanks for posting this video - I loved it. I don't own a GS yet (I own a BMW Rockster), but if everything works out in my life the way I'm hoping it will, I'll be buying a GS Adventure next year. Life to me is about exploring and experiencing this amazing "place", but unfortunately not many people I know understand this, so I tend to do stuff usually on my own. The last time I did some "adventure" was when I was living in Europe and took off on foot for a trip around Europe... 20 years ago...
An incredible ride. Thanks for posting.
