LOL, the show reached for some of it's jokes even in the 90's and 20 years later I doubt much of the audiance knows of him, but he was awesome on Hollywood Squares, had his own TV show also but that was before even my time. Look him up on youtube, he'll make you laugh.
Okay, I have to say this: there were many color pictures during this time that easily hid the make-up on their actors' faces. He looks like he's in-between shifts of doing the can-can.
I LIKE Roger Corman films, and even I have problems with this one. Like the sheriff (a character you're supposed to like) getting on a moral high horse about the nightclub. Somehow Corman films and moral high horses don't go together.
MST fans help me out! I'm a tattoo junkie and I plan on getting the MST cast in portrait/collage form along with the SOL and other related stuff done soon. I will have the robots of course but I'm torn between Joel or Mike. I really don't want both of them in ink but I feel weird leaving one of them out. Anybody have suggestions? Opinions?
@URallangry Don't know if you're still considering it, being this is an old post...
If you ABSOLUTELY have to have just one or the other, I would choose Joel, the original guy, since he came up with the concept of the show and everything.. But then again I saw Joel first before I saw Mike.. Might I suggest the bots in the middle and Mike and Joel on either side?? Are you planning on including Gypsy? If you've already got the tat I'd love to see it btw
@mskittychic79 Don't have it yet but will one day. It's gonna be a while...need the right artist, composition, time and big $. It will be worth it in the end. I'll let you know when it happens.
Hey, the evil barkeeper is the same actress that played the witch Lydia in another Roger Corman film, The Undead. (Ep. 806) It's great to see her again!
The late, great Bruno VeSota.. In addition to almost every Corman film here, he was on Bonanza, lots of guest spots on other 60s TV shows, and directed some B-films of his own.
Is it my imagination or is that saloon actually the same set for the tavern in The Undead just with different set dressings?

What was that "douse the fire all" about? Apart from a cheap Corman trick to get someone shot. why didn't she just say, "douse it yourself, you cunt"

Hmmm...I wonder who's supposed to be the bad guy in this movie. ...maybe that man dressed in BLACK? Subtle, Corman is not.

@verbusen Awesome reference, it was 40 years old back in the 90's. Some of the ancient obscure pop references in this show still amaze me.

"So what do we do?"
Hm - rough and tough capable woman sheriff who cleans up the town suddenly takes orders from the first strange man she meets in the bush.
So the lesson here is that women can only be in charge when there are no men around...? >.<

Hey audience, here's a new character for you: he's dressed all in black, wears a black hat and rides a black horse.
Clearly he's NOT the villain in this WESTERN.
Capng123 1 year ago
The main character girl has a scrunchy face.
I'd hit it (if she isn't dead by now.)

I swear, that first scene was begging for a Blazing Saddles joke "Land...Land..Land...See Snatch....."
They try to kill each other in their first meeting. They MUST fall in love
"SHUT UP!" I love how everyone gets sick of the Mayor's flashbacks

What's wrong with bootblacking. We like it very much!

So I guess there WAS a reason for a choreographer, tho I can't say it was a GOOD reason.
At least the time-killing dancing scenes are an improvement over time-killing walking scenes.

You could always try something more abstract, like say the classic pointing-at-the-screen silohuette encased in an orobourous made of Gypsy...

True. Thanks for the suggestion.
