yay! i tried to sue a client once for non payment, but he worked for a "township" and somehow got to use the "township" lawyers. i wish i had did a video about it , but it was a while ago. it would have dragged on forever.

For that reason I ask my clients to pay me one week in advance for the full amount or on the day of the event before I unload...

AND of course cash or money order!!!...

Checks and credit cards are to much of a hassle and of course people can stop payment.

ya know i used to do that but i found i started loosing gigs. thats really a lot to ask of people if they have not met you (the DJ) yet. and just switching a tiny policy can make a big difference! i'd rather do that then loose 2 or more gigs, because a client shopped around and liked another DJ's policies better.
